أكد المدير الرياضي لنادي أتلتيك بلباو الإسباني ميكيل غونزاليس، أن ناديه لم يشك لحظة واحدة في صحة التعاقد مع إيمريك لابورت من صفوف النصر.
وأعلن النادي الإسباني منذ قليل تعاقده رسمياً مع لابورت حتى 2028، بعد أن تعرض لصدمة الأسبوع الماضي برفض الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) إصدار شهادة الانتقال الدولية بدعوى عدم إتمام الصفقة في الوقت المحدد قبل غلق فترة التسجيل في إسبانيا.
وقال غونزاليس في تصريحات خاصة لـ«عكاظ»: «نحن سعداء للغاية بإتمام التعاقد مع لابورت، حاولنا التعاون مع النصر لإنجاح الصفقة».
وأضاف: «لولا إصرار أتلتيك بلباو ولابورت على إتمام الصفقة لانهار كل شيء، لكننا كنا نعلم أننا على حق».
وتُقدر قيمة انتقال لابورت إلى أتلتيك بلباو بنحو 10 ملايين يورو سيدفعها النادي الإسباني لنظيره النصر.
وجاءت عودة لابورت لناديه السابق لتسعد أنصاره الذين طالبوا ناديهم بإنهاء موضوعه خلال الفترة الماضية، وقدمت إدارة شركة النصر شكرها للاعب على ما قدمه خلال فترة وجوده مع «العالمي».
The sports director of the Spanish club Athletic Bilbao, Mikel Gonzalez, confirmed that his club never doubted the validity of the contract with Aymeric Laporte from Al Nassr.
The Spanish club announced a short while ago that it has officially signed Laporte until 2028, after experiencing a shock last week when the International Football Federation (FIFA) refused to issue the international transfer certificate, claiming that the deal was not completed in time before the registration period closed in Spain.
Gonzalez said in exclusive statements to Okaz: “We are very happy to finalize the contract with Laporte; we tried to cooperate with Al Nassr to make the deal successful.”
He added: “If it weren't for Athletic Bilbao's and Laporte's insistence on completing the deal, everything would have collapsed, but we knew we were right.”
The value of Laporte's transfer to Athletic Bilbao is estimated at around 10 million euros, which the Spanish club will pay to its counterpart Al Nassr.
Laporte's return to his former club has delighted his fans, who had urged their club to resolve his situation in the past period, and the management of Al Nassr thanked the player for what he contributed during his time with “the global club.”
