تحولت فرحة حارس مرمى بتصديه لركلة جزاء في بطولة هواة لكرة القدم داخل الصالات بالبرازيل إلى مأساة مفاجئة.
وبحسب صحيفة «غلوبو» البرازيلية، توفي الحارس إدسون بعد تصديه لركلة جزاء ترجيحية، في مباراة أقيمت ضمن الاحتفالات بيوم الاستقلال لعام 2025 في بلدية أوغوستو كوريا شمال شرق ولاية بارا.
بعد التصدي، توجه الحارس نحو أحد زملائه، لكنه سقط فجأة في وسط الملعب.
استجاب زملاؤه بسرعة، مطالبين بتقديم الرعاية الطبية فور مشاهدتهم الحارس ملقىً على الأرض، وتلقى الحارس الإسعافات الأولية في صالة «زيزينيو دي فريتاس» الرياضية، ثم نُقل بسرعة إلى أحد المستشفيات القريبة.
ولم يُعلن بعد عن السبب الدقيق لوفاة الحارس البرازيلي.

According to the Brazilian newspaper "Globo," goalkeeper Edson died after saving a decisive penalty in a match held as part of the celebrations for Independence Day 2025 in the municipality of Augusto Correa in northeastern Pará state.
After the save, the goalkeeper approached one of his teammates, but suddenly collapsed in the middle of the field.
His teammates quickly responded, calling for medical assistance as soon as they saw the goalkeeper lying on the ground. He received first aid at the "Zizinho de Freitas" sports hall and was then swiftly transported to a nearby hospital.
The exact cause of the Brazilian goalkeeper's death has not yet been announced.
