أدان رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) السويسري جياني إنفانتينو ما حصل من إساءة عنصرية خلال مباراتين في الدور الأول من مسابقة كأس ألمانيا لكرة القدم.
وفي بيان صادر عن إنفانتينو جاء فيه: «ما حصل غير مقبول».
وأضاف: «أكرر وسأواصل فعل ذلك. لا مكان للعنصرية في كرة القدم»، وذلك في تعليق على توقف مباراة شالكه (درجة ثانية) ومضيفه لوكوموتيف لايبزيغ (درجة رابعة) الأحد بعد الإهانات العنصرية التي طالت جناح الضيوف الغاني كريستوفر أنتوي-أدجي من قبل مشجعي أصحاب الأرض.
وصدر إعلان عبر مكبرات الصوت في الملعب يدين الإساءة العنصرية، ثم بعد استئناف المباراة، تعرض الجناح لصيحات استهجان متكررة من جماهير الفريق المضيف، ما دفع لوكوموتيف لايبزيغ إلى التقدم لاحقا الأحد باعتذار.
والأحد أيضا، زعم لاعب من كايزرسلاوترن (درجة ثانية) أنه تعرض لإساءة عنصرية من أحد مشجعي المضيف آر أس في اينتراخت (درجة خامسة) خلال الدور ذاته من مسابقة الكأس.
وأكد إنفانتينو أن فيفا «سيواصل مراقبة هذه الحوادث عن كثب» ووعد بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الألماني لكرة القدم «في مكافحة العنصرية».

The President of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Swiss Gianni Infantino, condemned the racist abuse that occurred during two matches in the first round of the German Cup competition.
In a statement issued by Infantino, he said: "What happened is unacceptable."
He added: "I repeat and will continue to do so. There is no place for racism in football," commenting on the stoppage of the match between Schalke (second division) and their hosts Lokomotiv Leipzig (fourth division) on Sunday after the racist insults directed at the guests' winger, Ghanaian Christopher Antwi-Adjei, by home fans.
An announcement was made over the stadium's loudspeakers condemning the racist abuse, and after the match resumed, the winger faced repeated boos from the home team's supporters, prompting Lokomotiv Leipzig to later issue an apology on Sunday.
On Sunday as well, a player from Kaiserslautern (second division) claimed he was subjected to racist abuse by a fan of the host RSV Eintracht (fifth division) during the same round of the cup competition.
Infantino confirmed that FIFA "will continue to closely monitor these incidents" and promised to cooperate with the German Football Association "in combating racism."
