يدرس نادي ليفربول الإنجليزي بيع مدافعه الفرنسي إبراهيما كوناتي خلال الصيف الحالي، في حال فشل توصل الطرفين إلى اتفاق بشأن تجديد عقده.
وينتهي عقد كوناتي مع «الريدز» بنهاية الموسم القادم، ما يمنحه أحقية التفاوض مع أي نادٍ اعتباراً من يناير القادم، تمهيداً لرحيله مجاناً في الصيف التالي.
ووفقاً للصحفي بشبكة «سكاي سبورتس» فابريزيو رومانو - نقلاً عن تقارير إسبانية - فإن ليفربول يفكر بجدية في بيع كوناتي هذا الصيف إذا استمر في رفض عروض التجديد المقدّمة له.
وأضاف أن كوناتي يرغب في الانضمام إلى ريال مدريد فقط.
ويأتي هذا التوجه من النادي الإنجليزي في محاولة لتجنّب تكرار سيناريو رحيل ترينت ألكسندر أرنولد، الذي انتقل إلى ريال مدريد هذا الصيف في صفقة مجانية بعد انتهاء عقده ورفضه التجديد مع «الريدز».
The English club Liverpool is studying the sale of its French defender Ibrahima Konaté during the current summer, in case the two parties fail to reach an agreement regarding the renewal of his contract.
Konaté's contract with the "Reds" expires at the end of the next season, which gives him the right to negotiate with any club starting from next January, paving the way for his free departure the following summer.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano from "Sky Sports" - citing Spanish reports - Liverpool is seriously considering selling Konaté this summer if he continues to reject the renewal offers presented to him.
He added that Konaté only wants to join Real Madrid.
This move from the English club comes in an attempt to avoid repeating the scenario of Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure, who moved to Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer after his contract expired and he refused to renew with the "Reds".
