لن يشارك ساديو ماني مع منتخب السنغال لكرة القدم أمام إيرلندا وإنجلترا الشهر القادم، بعدما طلب استبعاده من المباراتين الوديتين.
يُعد ماني اللاعب البارز الوحيد الغائب عن التشكيلة المكونة من 26 لاعباً، والتي أعلنها المدرب بابي تياو اليوم (الثلاثاء).
وقال تياو في مؤتمر صحافي: «إنه قرار شخصي يخصه وحده، وأنا أحترم ذلك كمدرب».
وتعرض ماني (33 عاماً)، الذي خاض 111 مباراة دولية مع منتخب السنغال، لانتقادات بسبب أدائه أخيراً مع المنتخب الوطني في مارس الماضي، إذ تعادل الفريق مع السودان، لكنه فاز على توغو في تصفيات كأس العالم.
وأعلن تياو عن وافد جديد على تشكيلته وهو لاعب الوسط مامادو لامين كامارا، الذي فاز بكأس الكونفدرالية الأفريقية يوم الأحد الماضي مع ناديه المغربي نهضة بركان.
ويعود لتشكيلة المنتخب 7 من اللاعبين بعد غيابهم عن تصفيات مارس الماضي، من بينهم نيكولا جاكسون مهاجم تشيلسي وإليمان ندياي من إيفرتون.
ويواجه منتخب السنغال نظيره الإيرلندي في دبلن في السادس من يونيو، ثم منتخب إنجلترا في نوتنغهام بعدها بأربعة أيام.
Sadio Mané will not participate with the Senegal national football team against Ireland and England next month, after requesting to be excluded from the two friendly matches.
Mané is the only prominent player missing from the 26-man squad announced by coach Pape Thiou today (Tuesday).
Thiou said at a press conference: "It's a personal decision that concerns him alone, and I respect that as a coach."
Mané (33 years old), who has played 111 international matches with the Senegal national team, faced criticism for his recent performance with the national team in March, where the team drew with Sudan but won against Togo in the World Cup qualifiers.
Thiou announced a new addition to his squad, midfielder Mamadou Lamine Camara, who won the African Confederation Cup last Sunday with his Moroccan club RS Berkane.
Seven players return to the squad after missing the qualifiers in March, including Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye.
The Senegal national team will face their Irish counterparts in Dublin on June 6, followed by England in Nottingham four days later.
