فما وصفت صحيفة «ديلي ميل» البريطانية أداء لاعبة التنس المصرية هاجر عبدالقادر خلال مشاركتها في بطولة نيروبي المفتوحة للتنس، بالأسوأ في تاريخ لعبة التنس على المستوى الدولي، أكد الإتحاد المصري للتنس بأن هاجر غير مقيدة ضمن القوائم الرسمية للاعبات التنس المصريات.
دعوة استثنائية
وأوضح الاتحاد في بيان أصدره بأن اللاعبة تقيم حالياً في كينيا، ومشاركتها في بطولة الاتحاد الدولي للتنس (ITF) في نيروبي تمت عبر بطاقة دعوة استثنائية (Wildcard) من الاتحاد الكيني للتنس، دون أي دور أو ترشيح من الجانب المصري.
خسارة ثقيلة
وتلقت عبد القادر خسارة ثقيلة أمام الألمانية لورينا شيدل بنتيجة 6 أشواط دون مقابل في كل مجموعة، في مباراة انتهت سريعاً استغرقت نحو 37 دقيقة فقط. وشهد اللقاء ارتكاب اللاعبة المصرية 20 خطأً مزدوجاً، إلى جانب ظهور واضح لنقص في الإلمام ببعض القواعد الأساسية للعبة.
وأشارت صحيفة «ديلي ميل» إلى أن عبد القادر لم تحصد سوى عدد محدود جداً من النقاط خلال المواجهة، ووصفت أداءها بأنه من بين الأسوأ في تاريخ لعبة التنس على المستوى الدولي.
The British newspaper "Daily Mail" described the performance of Egyptian tennis player Hagar Abdelkader during her participation in the Nairobi Open tennis tournament as the worst in the history of tennis at the international level. The Egyptian Tennis Federation confirmed that Hagar is not listed among the official lists of Egyptian female tennis players.
Exceptional Invitation
The federation clarified in a statement it issued that the player is currently residing in Kenya, and her participation in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in Nairobi was through an exceptional invitation (Wildcard) from the Kenyan Tennis Federation, without any role or nomination from the Egyptian side.
Heavy Loss
Abdelkader suffered a heavy defeat against the German player Lorena Schiedel, losing 6 games to none in each set, in a match that ended quickly, lasting only about 37 minutes. The Egyptian player committed 20 double faults during the match, along with a clear lack of familiarity with some basic rules of the game.
The "Daily Mail" pointed out that Abdelkader only scored a very limited number of points during the match and described her performance as among the worst in the history of tennis at the international level.
