وُوري جثمان نجم نادي الزمالك المصري السابق محمد صبري الثرى عقب صلاة الجنازة عليه عصر أمس (الجمعة) في مسجد السلام بمدينة نصر.
وسيطرت حالة من الحزن العميق على رموز كرة القدم المصرية الذين حضروا لتوديع الفقيد، بينما دخل بعض المقربين منه في بكاء شديد.
وفارق محمد صبري الحياة صباح اليوم إثر حادثة سير مروعة، حيث كان قد شعر بألم في الصدر قبل وقوع الحادثة، بحسب ما أفاد مقربون منه.
ويعد محمد صبري أحد أبرز نجوم نادي الزمالك في فترة التسعينات، إذ لعب بقميص «الفارس الأبيض» من عام 1993 إلى 2003، وحقق مع الفريق 15 لقباً، كما لعب في صفوف الاتحاد السكندري وكاظمة الكويتي، قبل أن يعتزل كرة القدم في عام 2007.

من جانبه، نعى نادي الزمالك ومجلس إدارته، برئاسة حسين لبيب، النجم الراحل ببالغ الحزن والأسى. وقال النادي في بيان: «يتقدم مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك وجميع الفرق الرياضية والأجهزة الفنية بالنادي بخالص العزاء لأسرة الفقيد، سائلين المولى عز وجل أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته وأن يسكنه فسيح جناته، ويلهم أهله وذويه الصبر والسلوان. وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون».
The body of former Egyptian Zamalek Club star Mohamed Sabry was laid to rest following the funeral prayer held yesterday afternoon (Friday) at Al-Salam Mosque in Nasr City.
A deep sense of sorrow enveloped the icons of Egyptian football who attended to bid farewell to the deceased, while some of his close friends broke down in tears.
Mohamed Sabry passed away this morning as a result of a horrific traffic accident, having reportedly felt chest pain before the incident, according to those close to him.
Mohamed Sabry is considered one of the most prominent stars of Zamalek during the 1990s, having played in the "White Knight" jersey from 1993 to 2003, during which time he won 15 titles with the team. He also played for Ittihad Alexandria and Kazma of Kuwait before retiring from football in 2007.

For its part, Zamalek Club and its Board of Directors, headed by Hussein Labib, mourned the late star with deep sadness and sorrow. The club stated in a statement: "The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, along with all the sports teams and technical staff at the club, extend their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, asking the Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy, to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace. Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return."
