نفى نادي الزمالك المصري، وجود أي نية داخل مجلس الإدارة لإقالة المدير الرياضي جون إدوارد، رغم تراجع نتائج الفريق في مسابقة الدوري المصري الممتاز.
وقال النادي في بيان: «يؤكد مجلس إدارة الزمالك على أنه لا توجد نية على الإطلاق في إنهاء تجربة جون إدوارد المدير الرياضي، ولا أساس من الصحة لما تردد في الساعات القليلة الماضية بشأن دراسة إدارة النادي إنهاء تجربة جون إدوارد».
مواصلة دعم إدارة الكرة
وأضاف البيان: «كما يؤكد المجلس أنه لن يتوانى عن اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية ضد كل مروجي الشائعات حول فريق الكرة بالزمالك».
وفي ختام البيان، شدد المجلس على مواصلة دعمه لإدارة الكرة الحالية، والعمل على تذليل كافة العقبات والصعوبات التي تواجه فريق الكرة بالنادي، من أجل تحقيق الأهداف المطلوبة خلال الموسم الحالي، بما يتوافق مع رؤية مجلس الإدارة لتحقيق طموحات الجماهير بمواصلة حصد البطولات.
The Egyptian club Zamalek denied any intention within the board of directors to dismiss the sports director John Edward, despite the team's declining results in the Egyptian Premier League.
The club stated in a statement: "The Zamalek board of directors confirms that there is absolutely no intention to end the experience of John Edward, the sports director, and there is no basis for the rumors circulating in the past few hours regarding the club's management considering ending John Edward's experience."
Continuing Support for the Football Management
The statement added: "The board also confirms that it will not hesitate to take legal action against all those spreading rumors about the Zamalek football team."
