أعلن النادي الأهلي المصري، اليوم (الخميس)، استبعاد مهاجمه الفلسطيني وسام أبو علي من بعثة الفريق المتجهة إلى تونس، لخوض معسكر إعدادي للموسم الجديد.
وكشف النادي الأهلي في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني أن محمد يوسف المدير الرياضي للنادي قرر عقب التشاور مع الإسباني خوسيه ريبييرو مدرب الفريق استبعاد وسام أبو علي من بعثة الأهلي المتجهة إلى تونس غداً (الجمعة) لإقامة معسكر الإعداد خلال الفترة من 18 إلى 26 يوليو الجاري.
جاء ذلك نظراً إلى عدم قيام اللاعب بإجراء القياسات البدنية والأشعات والفحوصات الطبية في المواعيد المحددة، فضلاً عن غيابه عن التدريبات والجلسات العلاجية دون إذن، بحسب البيان الصادر.
وكان الأهلي وقع عقوبة مالية على وسام أبو علي لعدم التزامه في الأيام الماضية بقرارات النادي.
ويضغط المهاجم الفلسطيني على إدارة الأهلي للموافقة على رحيله إلى نادي كولومبوس كرو الأمريكي هذا الصيف، بينما يحاول مسؤولو النادي إقناعه بالاستمرار للحاجة إلى جهوده الفنية.
ويمتد عقد وسام أبو علي مع الأهلي حتى 30 يونيو 2028، وتُقدَّر قيمته السوقية بنحو 4 ملايين يورو، وفقاً لموقع «ترانسفير ماركت».
The Egyptian Al Ahly Club announced today (Thursday) the exclusion of its Palestinian striker Wissam Abu Ali from the team's delegation heading to Tunisia for a preparatory camp for the new season.
Al Ahly revealed in a statement on its website that Mohamed Youssef, the club's sporting director, decided after consulting with Spanish coach José Ribeiro to exclude Wissam Abu Ali from the Al Ahly delegation heading to Tunisia tomorrow (Friday) for the training camp scheduled from July 18 to 26.
This decision was made due to the player's failure to undergo physical measurements, scans, and medical examinations at the specified times, as well as his absence from training and therapy sessions without permission, according to the issued statement.
Al Ahly had imposed a financial penalty on Wissam Abu Ali for not adhering to the club's decisions in recent days.
The Palestinian striker is pressuring the Al Ahly management to approve his transfer to the American club Columbus Crew this summer, while club officials are trying to convince him to stay due to the need for his technical contributions.
Wissam Abu Ali's contract with Al Ahly extends until June 30, 2028, and his market value is estimated at around 4 million euros, according to the "Transfermarkt" website.
