أكد رئيس الاتحاد الكويتي لكرة القدم الشيخ أحمد اليوسف، أن بلاده باتت قريبة من استضافة بطولة كأس السوبر المصري 2025-2026.
وأوضح اليوسف في تصريحات لصحيفة «الجريدة» الكويتية، أن المفاوضات مع الاتحاد المصري بشأن استضافة البطولة في نوفمبر المقبل، وصلت إلى مراحل متقدمة.
وأضاف: «نبحث أيضاً إمكانية تنظيم بطولة كأس السوبر الفرنسي، لكن لم يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق رسمي حتى الآن».
ومن المقرر أن تُقام النسخة المقبلة من كأس السوبر المصري بمشاركة أربعة فرق: الأهلي (بطل الدوري)، الزمالك (بطل كأس مصر)، سيراميكا كليوباترا (بطل كأس الرابطة)، إضافة إلى فريق رابع لم يُحدد بعد، مع وجود احتمال كبير بمشاركة بيراميدز.
ويحمل الأهلي لقب النسخة الماضية من كأس السوبر المصري، بعد تفوقه على غريمه التقليدي الزمالك بالركلات الترجيحية، عقب انتهاء الوقتين الأصلي والإضافي بالتعادل السلبي.
ويتصدر الأهلي قائمة أكثر الأندية تتويجًا بكأس السوبر المصري برصيد 15 لقبًا، يليه الزمالك بأربعة ألقاب، بينما فاز كل من المقاولون العرب وحرس الحدود وطلائع الجيش باللقب مرة واحدة.
The President of the Kuwait Football Association, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yusuf, confirmed that his country is close to hosting the Egyptian Super Cup for the 2025-2026 season.
Al-Yusuf explained in statements to the Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Jarida" that negotiations with the Egyptian Federation regarding hosting the tournament next November have reached advanced stages.
He added: "We are also exploring the possibility of organizing the French Super Cup, but no official agreement has been reached yet."
The upcoming edition of the Egyptian Super Cup is set to feature four teams: Al-Ahly (the league champion), Zamalek (the Egypt Cup champion), Ceramica Cleopatra (the League Cup champion), in addition to a fourth team that has not been determined yet, with a strong possibility of Pyramids participating.
Al-Ahly holds the title of the last edition of the Egyptian Super Cup after defeating its traditional rival Zamalek in a penalty shootout, following a goalless draw at the end of both regular and extra time.
Al-Ahly tops the list of clubs with the most Egyptian Super Cup titles, with a total of 15 titles, followed by Zamalek with four titles, while both Arab Contractors, Haras El Hodood, and Tala'ea El Gaish have won the title once each.
