أعلنت رابطة الأندية المصرية المحترفة إلغاء الهبوط في الموسم الرياضي 2024-2025، مع الإبقاء على نظام الدوري الحالي، استجابة لطلبات الأندية.
جاء ذلك في بيان رسمي صادر عن الرابطة، اليوم (الأحد)، عقب اجتماع مهم بحضور ممثلي 15 نادياً من أندية الدوري الممتاز، بينما تغيبت عن الاجتماع أندية الزمالك، بيراميدز، وحرس الحدود.
وشهد الاجتماع مناقشات معمقة حول أوضاع المسابقة وطلبات الأندية، ما أسفر عن اتخاذ عدد من القرارات الحاسمة التي تهدف إلى تعزيز التنافسية والاستدامة في كرة القدم المصرية.
وإلى جانب إلغاء الهبوط، أعلنت الرابطة أنه اعتباراً من الموسم القادم 2025-2026، سيتم هبوط 4 أندية وصعود 3 أندية من القسم الثاني، بهدف تحقيق التوازن التنافسي وتدارك الظروف الاستثنائية.
كما وجهت رابطة الأندية مناشدة إلى مجلس النواب، ورئيس مجلس الوزراء، ووزير الشباب والرياضة، لتسريع إصدار قانون الرياضة الجديد، الذي يتضمن نصوصاً تدعم الاستثمار الرياضي وتحويل قطاعات كرة القدم إلى شركات مساهمة، لضمان إدارة احترافية وتمويل مستدام.
فيما أعربت الأندية الـ15 الحاضرة عن ثقتها في مجلس إدارة الرابطة لموسم جديد، مع الموافقة على ترشيح النادي الأهلي لإبراهيم الكفراوي، عضو مجلس إدارته السابق، لتمثيل النادي في الرابطة خلفاً للكابتن عماد متعب المستقيل.
كما منحت الرابطة، الأندية مهلة 30 يوماً، تنتهي في 18 يونيو 2025، لتقديم مقترحاتهم وملاحظاتهم حول لائحة المسابقة، ضمن خطة لتطوير اللوائح وتعزيز الشفافية والعدالة.
ووافقت الأندية على انطلاق موسم الدوري الممتاز 2025-2026 في 15 أغسطس 2025، على أن ينتهي بنهاية مايو 2026، لضمان انتظام المسابقة وتجنب تكدس المباريات.
وأكدت الرابطة الإبقاء على قواعد قيد اللاعبين الأجانب (5 لاعبين فوق السن و3 تحت السن)، مع السماح بمشاركة 6 لاعبين في المباراة، بشرط أن يكون أحدهم تحت السن، لضمان استقرار اللوائح الفنية.
وأكدت الرابطة في بيانها أن هذه القرارات جاءت نتيجة توافق الأندية الحاضرة، وتعكس التزامها بتطوير المسابقة وتحقيق أعلى معايير الاحترافية. وأشارت إلى أنها ستعمل على متابعة تنفيذ هذه القرارات بالتعاون مع الأندية والاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم.
The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association announced the cancellation of relegation for the 2024-2025 sports season, while maintaining the current league system, in response to requests from the clubs.
This was stated in an official statement issued by the association today (Sunday), following an important meeting attended by representatives of 15 clubs from the Premier League, while Zamalek, Pyramids, and Haras El Hodood were absent from the meeting.
The meeting witnessed in-depth discussions about the competition's conditions and the clubs' requests, resulting in several decisive decisions aimed at enhancing competitiveness and sustainability in Egyptian football.
In addition to canceling relegation, the association announced that starting from the next season 2025-2026, 4 clubs will be relegated and 3 clubs will be promoted from the second division, in order to achieve competitive balance and address exceptional circumstances.
The clubs association also appealed to the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Youth and Sports to expedite the issuance of the new sports law, which includes provisions that support sports investment and transform football sectors into joint-stock companies, to ensure professional management and sustainable funding.
The 15 clubs present expressed their confidence in the association's board of directors for the new season, agreeing to nominate Al Ahly club's Ibrahim El Kafrawy, a former board member, to represent the club in the association, succeeding Captain Emad Meteb who resigned.
The association also granted the clubs a 30-day period, ending on June 18, 2025, to submit their proposals and observations regarding the competition regulations, as part of a plan to develop the regulations and enhance transparency and fairness.
The clubs agreed to kick off the Premier League season 2025-2026 on August 15, 2025, to conclude by the end of May 2026, to ensure the regularity of the competition and avoid congestion of matches.
The association confirmed the retention of the rules for registering foreign players (5 over-age players and 3 under-age players), allowing 6 players to participate in a match, provided that one of them is under-age, to ensure stability in the technical regulations.
The association emphasized in its statement that these decisions came as a result of the consensus of the attending clubs and reflect their commitment to developing the competition and achieving the highest standards of professionalism. It indicated that it will work to monitor the implementation of these decisions in cooperation with the clubs and the Egyptian Football Association.
