أكد رئيس الوزراء البريطاني أندي بيرنهام أن بلاده ستبذل كل ما في وسعها للحفاظ على إمكانية إقامة دولة فلسطينية، والعمل على تحقيق حل الدولتين.
وقال بيرنهام، خلال مشاركته في أعمال الدورة الـ81 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، إن المعاناة في قطاع غزة مستمرة في التفاقم، مشيراً إلى أن المساعدات التي تصل إلى القطاع أقل بكثير من الحاجات، وأن الأزمة مستمرة منذ وقت طويل.
تعزيز القدرات الدفاعية
وفي جانب آخر، أكد رئيس الوزراء البريطاني مواصلة بلاده تعزيز قدراتها العسكرية بالتوازي مع تعزيز القدرات الأوروبية، مشيراً إلى أن المملكة المتحدة ستواصل الاستثمار في دفاعاتها والوفاء بالتزاماتها تجاه حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو).
شراكة دفاعية في الذكاء الاصطناعي
وتطرق بيرنهام إلى المنافع والمخاطر المرتبطة بالذكاء الاصطناعي، موضحاً أن لندن تطور شراكة دفاعية جديدة في هذا المجال مع الولايات المتحدة لحماية البنية التحتية الوطنية الحيوية.
وأكد أن بلاده ستعمل على وضع مبادئ ومعايير دولية تعزز الشفافية وتحسن الاستعداد وتدعم سلامة تطوير تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham confirmed that his country will do everything in its power to maintain the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state and work towards achieving a two-state solution.
Burnham stated, during his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, that the suffering in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, noting that the aid reaching the region is far less than the needs, and that the crisis has been ongoing for a long time.
Enhancing Defensive Capabilities
In another aspect, the British Prime Minister emphasized his country's continued enhancement of its military capabilities in parallel with strengthening European capabilities, pointing out that the United Kingdom will continue to invest in its defenses and fulfill its commitments to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Defensive Partnership in Artificial Intelligence
Burnham addressed the benefits and risks associated with artificial intelligence, explaining that London is developing a new defensive partnership in this field with the United States to protect critical national infrastructure.
He affirmed that his country will work on establishing international principles and standards that enhance transparency, improve preparedness, and support the safe development of artificial intelligence technologies.
