أعلنت وزارة النقل، اليوم (الأربعاء)، تعرض سفينة مخصصة لنقل زيت الوقود لإصابة داخل المياه الإقليمية العراقية، مؤكدة أن السفينة كانت ترفع علم بنما.
وأفادت الوزارة أن الإصابات كانت بسبب مصدر مجهول أثناء وجودها داخل المياه الإقليمية العراقية، ما أدى إلى حدوث ضرر مادي في جدار السفينة، مبينة أن الحادث لم يسفر عن أي أضرار بشرية أو إصابات بين أفراد طاقم السفينة، كما لم يتسبب بأي تسرب من حمولتها إلى المياه.
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أنه فور وقوع الحادث، باشرت الجهات الأمنية والرسمية والبحرية المختصة اتخاذ الإجراءات الاحترازية اللازمة، حيث جرى عزل السفينة ووضعها تحت المراقبة المستمرة، إلى جانب متابعة المنطقة المحيطة بها ميدانياً للتأكد من عدم وجود أي تسرب للوقود أو أضرار أخرى أو مؤشرات قد تشكل خطراً على سلامة الملاحة والبيئة البحرية، مبينة أن الجهات المختصة تتابع ملابسات الحادث وتعمل على التحقق من مصدر الإصابة وأسبابها.
وذكرت مصادر عراقية أن الناقلة تعرضت للاستهداف في المياه الإقليمية وقرب ميناء العمية في البصرة، وكانت تحمل مليوني برميل نفط عراقي وتقف بمنطقة التحميل.
وكانت الأردن أعلنت في وقت سابق اليوم تعرض أراضيه خلال الساعات الماضية لاعتداء صاروخي مصدره إيران، مؤكداً أن منظومات الدفاع الجوي الأردنية تعاملت مع 20 صاروخاً بالستياً أُطلقت باتجاه الأراضي الأردنية. وأشار المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة الأردنية أن الدفاعات الجوية نجحت في اعتراض وتدمير 18 صاروخاً، فيما سقط صاروخان في مناطق خالية من التجمعات السكانية، دون تسجيل أي خسائر في الأرواح.
من جانبها، قال مسؤول أمريكي، إن الصواريخ التي أطلقتها إيران باتجاه الأردن لم تؤد إلى إصابات بين القوات الأمريكية، موضحاً أن الرد الإيراني كان غير فعال في مواجهة الدفاعات الجوية والصاروخية المتكاملة.

The ministry reported that the injuries were caused by an unknown source while the ship was within Iraqi territorial waters, resulting in material damage to the ship's hull. It clarified that the incident did not result in any human casualties or injuries among the ship's crew, nor did it cause any leakage of its cargo into the waters.
The ministry indicated that immediately after the incident occurred, the relevant security, official, and maritime authorities began taking necessary precautionary measures, isolating the ship and placing it under continuous surveillance, in addition to monitoring the surrounding area on the ground to ensure there was no fuel leakage or other damages or indicators that could pose a risk to navigation safety and the marine environment. It stated that the relevant authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident and working to verify the source of the injury and its causes.
Iraqi sources reported that the tanker was targeted in territorial waters near the Al-Amaya port in Basra, carrying two million barrels of Iraqi oil and standing in the loading area.
Earlier today, Jordan announced that its territory had been subjected to missile attacks from Iran in recent hours, confirming that Jordanian air defense systems dealt with 20 ballistic missiles launched towards Jordanian territory. The spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces indicated that the air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed 18 missiles, while two missiles fell in unpopulated areas, with no reported loss of life.
For its part, a U.S. official stated that the missiles launched by Iran towards Jordan did not result in injuries among U.S. forces, explaining that the Iranian response was ineffective against the integrated air and missile defenses.
