أعلنت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية اليوم (الأربعاء)، أن عدة سفن تجارية في شمال الخليج وخليج عُمان تعرضت لنيران أدت إلى توقفها خلال نشاط عسكري في المنطقة.
وقالت الهيئة في بيان: «ليس بوسعنا حتى الآن تأكيد وقوع أي إصابات أو آثار بيئية جراء تعرض السفن للهجوم»، مبينة أن سفينة شوهدت اليوم وهي تميل على أحد الجانبين أثناء رسوها على بعد 24 ميلاً بحرياً شمال غربي ميناء راشد في الإمارات، ما قد يشير إلى تسرب المياه إلى داخلها بعد استهدافها بمقذوف.
ولفتت الهيئة إلى أن طرفاً ثالثاً أبلغ عن الواقعة.
وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني أعلن في وقت سابق اليوم، مهاجمة 10 سفن في مضيق هرمز، زعم أنها كانت تحاول عبور منطقة محظورة وغير آمنة في المضيق الحيوي، وذلك بعد هجوم أمريكي استهدف 5 ناقلات إيرانية.
وكانت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية قالت أمس إنها دمرت 5 ناقلات نفط خام إيرانية، مشيرة إلى أن الناقلات التي دمرتها هي «كافيز» و«شارمينار» و«هورايزن 1» و«ريسكو» في خليج عُمان، والناقلة «ديريا» بالقرب من جزيرة خارك.
The British Maritime Trade Operations announced today (Wednesday) that several commercial vessels in the northern Gulf and the Gulf of Oman came under fire, leading to their stoppage during military activity in the region.
The agency stated in a statement: "We cannot yet confirm any injuries or environmental impacts resulting from the attack on the vessels," noting that a ship was seen today leaning to one side while moored 24 nautical miles northwest of Port Rashid in the UAE, which may indicate water leakage into it after being targeted by a projectile.
The agency pointed out that a third party reported the incident.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced earlier today that it attacked 10 ships in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming they were attempting to cross a prohibited and unsafe area in the vital strait, following a U.S. attack that targeted 5 Iranian tankers.
The U.S. Central Command stated yesterday that it destroyed 5 Iranian crude oil tankers, noting that the tankers destroyed were "Kaveez," "Sharmanir," "Horizon 1," "Rescue" in the Gulf of Oman, and the tanker "Derya" near Khark Island.
