أدانت منظمة «سياج» لحماية الطفولة -بأشد العبارات- استهداف مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية مخيماً للنازحين في محافظة مأرب اليمنية، ما أسفر عن مقتل طفلين وإصابة نحو 15 نازحاً، بينهم 8 أطفال.
وأفاد شهود بأن مليشيا الحوثي استهدفت، أمس (الإثنين)، مخيم النازحين في مديرية رغوان بصاروخ بالستي، ما أدى إلى مقتل طفلين يبلغان من العمر 5 و7 أعوام، وإصابة نحو 15 آخرين.
انتهاكات متصاعدة
وقالت المنظمة إن الجريمة تأتي في سياق انتهاكات متصاعدة بحق المدنيين والأطفال في اليمن، بالتزامن مع حملة واسعة لتجنيد آلاف الأطفال واليافعين من مناطق سيطرة الجماعة، والزجّ بهم في جبهات القتال بمحافظات الحديدة وتعز ومأرب والبيضاء ومريس والجوف وغيرها.
وأشارت إلى استمرار التوسع في زراعة الألغام الفردية، خصوصاً في محافظة الحديدة، فضلاً عن تهجير مئات الأسر اليمنية قسراً في محافظتي تعز والحديدة.
محاسبة المرتكبين
ودعت منظمة «سياج» إلى الوقف الفوري لهذه الانتهاكات، وحماية الأطفال والمدنيين، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن استهداف مخيمات النازحين والانتهاكات المرتكبة بحقهم.
The "Siyaj" Organization for Childhood Protection strongly condemned the targeting of a displaced persons camp by the Houthi terrorist militia in Marib Governorate, Yemen, resulting in the deaths of two children and injuries to about 15 displaced individuals, including 8 children.
Witnesses reported that the Houthi militia targeted the displaced persons camp in the Raghwan district with a ballistic missile yesterday (Monday), leading to the deaths of two children aged 5 and 7 years, and injuring around 15 others.
Escalating Violations
The organization stated that this crime occurs in the context of escalating violations against civilians and children in Yemen, coinciding with a widespread campaign to recruit thousands of children and adolescents from areas under the group's control, and to send them to the front lines in the governorates of Al-Hudaydah, Taiz, Marib, Al-Bayda, Al-Maris, Al-Jawf, and others.
It also noted the ongoing expansion of the planting of individual landmines, particularly in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, as well as the forcible displacement of hundreds of Yemeni families in the governorates of Taiz and Al-Hudaydah.
Accountability for Perpetrators
The "Siyaj" Organization called for an immediate halt to these violations, the protection of children and civilians, and accountability for those responsible for targeting displaced persons camps and the violations committed against them.
