هدد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس (الخميس)، إيران بشن هجمات واسعة على أراضيها في حال تعرض إسرائيل لهجوم إيراني جديد، مؤكداً أن أي ضربة من طهران ستمنح إسرائيل حرية أكبر في الرد واستهداف مختلف أنواع البنية التحتية الإيرانية.
وقال كاتس خلال فعالية بمناسبة رأس السنة العبرية مع موظفي وزارة الدفاع الإسرائيلية: «أي هجوم إيراني على إسرائيل سيحرر إسرائيل من جميع القيود القائمة على هجوم ضد إيران»، مضيفاً: الرد الإسرائيلي سيشمل «كل البنية التحتية العسكرية والمدنية الوطنية» في إيران، بما في ذلك منشآت الطاقة. وتوعد كاتس بإعادة إيران إلى «العصر الحجري والظلام».
تل أبيب تتحدث عن ضغوط داخلية متزايدة في إيران
ورأى كاتس أن النظام الإيراني قد يكون أكثر عرضة للضغوط الداخلية في ظل تدهور الأوضاع الاقتصادية والمخاوف من اندلاع احتجاجات واضطرابات شعبية.
وقال إن الضغوط الاقتصادية الثقيلة والخوف من اندلاع انتفاضة وسقوط النظام ربما يدفع القيادة الإيرانية إلى اتخاذ «إجراءات يائسة».
وزعم الوزير الإسرائيلي أن القيادة الإيرانية تدرك أسباب امتناعها عن مهاجمة إسرائيل بعد الضربات الإسرائيلية السابقة، مشيراً إلى أن إسرائيل استهدفت البرنامج النووي الإيراني وقضت على القيادة الإيرانية العليا وألحقت أضراراً كبيرة بقدرات طهران الإستراتيجية.
إسرائيل تستعد لسيناريو مواجهة جديدة
وتأتي تصريحات كاتس في وقت تواصل فيه إسرائيل رفع مستوى التأهب تحسباً لاحتمال أن تؤدي الضغوط الأمريكية المتزايدة على إيران إلى مواجهة مباشرة، أو أن تدفع طهران إلى استهداف إسرائيل.
وبحسب تقارير إعلامية إسرائيلية، استكملت شعبة الاستخبارات العسكرية والقوات الجوية الإسرائيلية استعداداتها لسيناريوهات دفاعية وهجومية مختلفة، من بينها احتمال تجدد القتال بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، وما قد يترتب عليه من هجمات إيرانية على إسرائيل.
كما حدّث الجيش الإسرائيلي بنك أهدافه داخل إيران، وأعاد تطوير خططه العملياتية استناداً إلى الدروس التي قال إنه استخلصها من جولات القتال السابقة.
كاتس: مستعدون لكل الاحتمالات
وفي ظل تصاعد التوتر على أكثر من جبهة، أكد كاتس أن إسرائيل مستعدة للتعامل مع أي تطور عسكري محتمل.
وقال: «إسرائيل مستعدة جيداً، دفاعياً وهجومياً، لكل الاحتمالات»، مضيفاً أن الجيش الإسرائيلي «جاهز لتنفيذ المهمة».
وتشير هذه التصريحات إلى استمرار حالة التأهب الإسرائيلية تحسباً لاحتمال اتساع نطاق المواجهة، سواء نتيجة تصعيد مباشر مع إيران أو بفعل تطورات ميدانية على الجبهة اللبنانية، في وقت تتداخل فيه الضغوط الأمريكية على طهران مع الحسابات العسكرية الإسرائيلية.
The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, threatened Iran on Thursday with extensive attacks on its territory if Israel faces a new Iranian assault, asserting that any strike from Tehran would grant Israel greater freedom to respond and target various types of Iranian infrastructure.
Katz stated during an event marking the Hebrew New Year with employees of the Israeli Ministry of Defense: “Any Iranian attack on Israel will free Israel from all existing constraints on an attack against Iran,” adding that the Israeli response would include “all national military and civilian infrastructure” in Iran, including energy facilities. Katz vowed to return Iran to the “Stone Age and darkness.”
Tel Aviv discusses increasing internal pressures in Iran
Katz observed that the Iranian regime may be more susceptible to internal pressures amid deteriorating economic conditions and fears of protests and popular unrest.
He stated that heavy economic pressures and the fear of an uprising and the fall of the regime might push the Iranian leadership to take “desperate measures.”
The Israeli minister claimed that the Iranian leadership understands the reasons for its restraint in attacking Israel following previous Israeli strikes, noting that Israel has targeted the Iranian nuclear program, eliminated the top Iranian leadership, and inflicted significant damage on Tehran's strategic capabilities.
Israel prepares for a new confrontation scenario
Katz's statements come at a time when Israel continues to raise its alert level in anticipation that increasing U.S. pressures on Iran could lead to a direct confrontation or prompt Tehran to target Israel.
According to Israeli media reports, the military intelligence division and the Israeli Air Force have completed their preparations for various defensive and offensive scenarios, including the possibility of renewed fighting between the U.S. and Iran, and the potential Iranian attacks on Israel that could follow.
The Israeli army has also updated its target bank within Iran and has redeveloped its operational plans based on lessons it claims to have learned from previous rounds of fighting.
Katz: We are prepared for all possibilities
Amid escalating tensions on multiple fronts, Katz confirmed that Israel is ready to deal with any potential military developments.
He said: “Israel is well prepared, defensively and offensively, for all possibilities,” adding that the Israeli army is “ready to carry out the mission.”
These statements indicate the continuation of Israeli alertness in anticipation of the possibility of an expanded confrontation, whether as a result of direct escalation with Iran or due to developments on the Lebanese front, at a time when U.S. pressures on Tehran intersect with Israeli military calculations.
