هدد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم (الخميس) بضرب إيران في أي لحظة وإسقاط النظام.
وقال نتنياهو لشبكة آي 24 نيوز الإسرائيلية: نستطيع ضرب إيران في أي لحظة وسنسقط النظام، موضحاً أن الطيارين الإسرائيليين كانوا هناك ويمكن أن يعودوا في أي لحظة. وأضاف: «في نهاية المطاف سنصطدم مع رأس الأخطبوط الإيراني وسنقطع أذرعه».
من جانبه، حذر وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس طهران من أن إسرائيل ستستهدف البنية التحتية الإيرانية، بما في ذلك البنية التحتية للطاقة، إذا هاجمت إسرائيل. وقال كاتس خلال حفلات رأس السنة اليهودية، إن هناك «مؤشرات نراها تشير إلى أن الضغط الاقتصادي الشديد على إيران، والخوف من اندلاع انتفاضة وسقوط النظام، قد يدفعهم إلى اتخاذ إجراءات يائسة»، مضيفاً: «أي هجوم إيراني على إسرائيل سيحررنا من جميع القيود، سنضرب البنية التحتية كاملة، بما في ذلك البنية التحتية للطاقة، ونعيد إيران إلى العصر الحجري والظلام».
وأشار إلى أن إسرائيل «مستعدة جيداً، دفاعياً وهجومياً، لكل الاحتمالات، والجيش الإسرائيلي مستعد لتنفيذ المهمة».
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened today (Thursday) to strike Iran at any moment and topple the regime.
Netanyahu told Israel's i24 News: "We can strike Iran at any moment and we will topple the regime," explaining that Israeli pilots were there and could return at any moment. He added, "In the end, we will collide with the head of the Iranian octopus and cut off its arms."
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Tehran that Israel would target Iranian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, if it attacked Israel. Katz said during Jewish New Year celebrations that there are "indicators we see suggesting that the severe economic pressure on Iran, and the fear of an uprising and the fall of the regime, may drive them to take desperate actions," adding, "Any Iranian attack on Israel will free us from all constraints; we will strike the entire infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, and return Iran to the Stone Age and darkness."
He noted that Israel is "well prepared, both defensively and offensively, for all possibilities, and the Israeli army is ready to carry out the mission."
