أعربت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية اليوم (الخميس) عن إدانة دولة الكويت واستنكارها، وبأشد العبارات، لتكرار الاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة على البلاد، والتي كان آخرها فجر اليوم.
وأكدت الخارجية الكويتية أن الاعتداء الآثم انتهاك صارخ لسيادة بلادها، وتهديد مباشر لأمنها واستقرارها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها، وخرق جسيم لقواعد القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817، مجددة تأكيدها أن مواصلة هذه الاعتداءات السافرة تعكس نهجاً عدائياً، وتشكّل تصعيداً خطيراً يهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، وتقويضاً ممنهجاً للجهود الدبلوماسية الرامية إلى التهدئة وخفض التصعيد.
وشددت الوزارة على أن دولة الكويت تحتفظ بحقها الكامل في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لصون سيادتها، وحفظ أمنها، والدفاع عن أراضيها ومنشآتها الحيوية ضد أي عدوان أو تهديد، وذلك استناداً إلى حقها الأصيل في الدفاع عن النفس، وفقاً للمادة 51 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقواعد القانون الدولي.
وكان الجيش الكويتي أعلن في وقت سابق اليوم تصدي الدفاعات الجوية لهجمات صاروخية وبطائرات مسيرة، مؤكداً تعرض بلاده لعدوان إيراني آثم.
وأشار إلى أن أصوات الانفجارات إن سُمعت فهي نتيجة اعتراض منظومات الدفاع الجوي للهجمات المعادية.
من جانبه، أعلن المتحدث باسم قوة الإطفاء العام العميد محمد الغريب أن فرق الإطفاء تمكنت فجر اليوم، من السيطرة على حريق اندلع في مجمع سكني بإحدى مناطق العاصمة بعد استنفادها طاقات مكافحة الحريق وإخلاء السكان.
وقال العميد الغريب في تصريح صحفي إن فرق مركزي إطفاء (الهلالي) و(المدينة) باشرت فور وصولها إلى الموقع في التعامل مع الحريق وتمت عملية المكافحة والسيطرة عليه، مؤكداً عدم تسجيل أي إصابات بشرية واقتصرت الخسائر على الماديات.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today (Thursday) the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the repeated Iranian attacks on the country, the latest of which occurred early this morning.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry affirmed that the heinous attack is a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. It constitutes a serious breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817. It reiterated that the continuation of these brazen attacks reflects an aggressive approach and represents a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, undermining systematic diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and calming tensions.
The ministry emphasized that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, maintain its security, and defend its territory and vital installations against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and international law.
The Kuwaiti army announced earlier today that air defenses had intercepted missile attacks and drone strikes, confirming that the country had been subjected to a heinous Iranian aggression.
It noted that if the sounds of explosions were heard, they were the result of the air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.
For his part, the spokesperson for the General Fire Force, Brigadier Mohammed Al-Ghareeb, announced that firefighting teams managed early this morning to control a fire that broke out in a residential complex in one of the areas of the capital after exhausting their firefighting capabilities and evacuating the residents.
Brigadier Al-Ghareeb stated in a press statement that the teams from the (Hilali) and (City) fire stations began dealing with the fire immediately upon their arrival at the site, and the firefighting and control operations were successfully carried out, confirming that no human injuries were reported and that the losses were limited to material damages.
