نفى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (الأربعاء)، سعيه لإجبار إيران على العودة إلى طاولة المفاوضات، مؤكداً أنه لم يعد مهتماً بالتوصل إلى اتفاق معها.
لا عودة للمفاوضات
وقال ترمب، في منشور على منصة «تروث سوشال»، إنه لا يحاول إجبار إيران على العودة إلى المفاوضات، خلافاً لما تروّج له بعض وسائل الإعلام، مضيفاً أنه لم يعد مهتماً بالتوصل إلى «اتفاقية لا قيمة لها» مع طهران.
وأكد الرئيس الأمريكي أن الوضع الحالي يعجبه كثيراً، مشيراً إلى أن الولايات المتحدة باتت تملك «سيطرة شبه كاملة» على مضيق هرمز.
وأضاف أن إيران تواصل ما وصفه بالمسار المحتوم، مؤكداً أنه «لا مفر» من انهيار اقتصادها.
ضربات جديدة ضد الحرس الثوري
ويأتي ذلك في وقت نفذ فيه الجيش الأمريكي سلسلة جديدة من الضربات ضد أهداف عسكرية إيرانية، من بينها أهداف تابعة للحرس الثوري الإيراني.
استمرار الضغط الاقتصادي
وفي موازاة التصعيد العسكري، أكد وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت استمرار واشنطن في تشديد الضغوط الاقتصادية على طهران، موضحاً أن الهدف من تلك الضغوط هو دفع إيران إلى الرغبة في التوصل إلى اتفاق والعودة إلى طاولة المفاوضات.

No Return to Negotiations
Trump stated in a post on the "Truth Social" platform that he is not trying to force Iran back to negotiations, contrary to what some media outlets are promoting, adding that he is no longer interested in reaching a "worthless agreement" with Tehran.
The U.S. President confirmed that he is very pleased with the current situation, noting that the United States now has "almost complete control" over the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that Iran continues what he described as its inevitable path, affirming that there is "no escape" from the collapse of its economy.
New Strikes Against the Revolutionary Guard
This comes at a time when the U.S. military has carried out a new series of strikes against Iranian military targets, including those belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Continued Economic Pressure
Alongside the military escalation, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt confirmed that Washington will continue to tighten economic pressures on Tehran, explaining that the goal of these pressures is to push Iran to desire to reach an agreement and return to the negotiating table.
