دفع الجيش السوداني بتعزيزات عسكرية جديدة إلى محور بكوري القتالي في إقليم النيل الأزرق، في إطار مساعيه لتعزيز مواقعه ورفع جاهزيته العملياتية، في ظل تصاعد المواجهات مع قوات الدعم السريع.
وأعلنت الفرقة الرابعة مشاة التابعة للجيش ومقرها مدينة الدمازين، اليوم (السبت)، تحريك «لواء النخبة» إلى محور بكوري، في مهمة تهدف إلى دعم القوات المنتشرة هناك وتعزيز قدراتها القتالية ورفع مستوى جاهزيتها.
وتشهد مناطق عدة في إقليم النيل الأزرق تصعيداً عسكرياً خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة، مع استمرار المواجهات بين الجيش من جهة، وقوات الدعم السريع من جهة أخرى.
وكثفت قوات الدعم السريع هجماتها باستخدام الطائرات المسيّرة على مواقع عسكرية ومناطق في الإقليم، فيما أعلن الجيش إسقاط عدد من المسيّرات، وقال إن بعضها انطلق من الأراضي الإثيوبية.
وشهدت محاور الكرمك وبكوري وقيسان تصعيداً في الهجمات البرية على مواقع الجيش، بالتزامن مع تحركات وتعزيزات عسكرية متبادلة بين أطراف القتال.
وتكتسب منطقة بكوري أهمية عسكرية لوقوعها ضمن المحاور المتقدمة في الجبهة الشرقية لإقليم النيل الأزرق، وفي نطاق العمليات الممتد باتجاه الحدود السودانية الإثيوبية، ما يجعلها إحدى النقاط الرئيسية في المواجهات الدائرة بالمنطقة.
وكان وزير الخارجية السوداني محيي الدين سالم، قال إن بلاده لا تحتاج إلى مزيد من التوتر مع إثيوبيا، داعياً أديس أبابا إلى الالتزام بحسن الجوار والتفكير في السلام، ونفى بصورة قاطعة استهداف السودان للأراضي التشادية بطائرات مسيرة.
وأكد أن موقف الخرطوم يقوم على تجنب فتح جبهات جديدة من التوتر مع دول الجوار، خصوصاً في ظل الحرب المستمرة داخل السودان وتداعياتها الأمنية والإنسانية.
وقال وزير الخارجية: لا نحتاج إلى مزيد من التوتر مع إثيوبيا، مضيفاً أن بلاده تدعو الجانب الإثيوبي إلى «حسن الجوار والتفكير في السلام».
The Sudanese army has deployed new military reinforcements to the Bakori combat axis in the Blue Nile region, as part of its efforts to strengthen its positions and enhance its operational readiness, amid escalating confrontations with the Rapid Support Forces.
The Fourth Infantry Division of the army, based in the city of Damazin, announced today (Saturday) the movement of the "Elite Brigade" to the Bakori axis, on a mission aimed at supporting the forces deployed there and enhancing their combat capabilities and readiness levels.
Several areas in the Blue Nile region have witnessed military escalation in recent weeks, with ongoing confrontations between the army on one side and the Rapid Support Forces on the other.
The Rapid Support Forces have intensified their attacks using drones on military sites and areas in the region, while the army announced the downing of several drones, stating that some of them were launched from Ethiopian territory.
There has been an escalation in ground attacks on army positions in the Kermuk, Bakori, and Qaisan axes, coinciding with mutual military movements and reinforcements between the warring parties.
The Bakori area holds military significance as it is located within the advanced axes on the eastern front of the Blue Nile region, and within the scope of operations extending towards the Sudanese-Ethiopian border, making it one of the key points in the ongoing confrontations in the area.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohieddin Saleh stated that his country does not need further tension with Ethiopia, calling on Addis Ababa to adhere to good neighborliness and think about peace, and he categorically denied that Sudan targeted Chadian territory with drones.
He emphasized that Khartoum's position is based on avoiding opening new fronts of tension with neighboring countries, especially in light of the ongoing war within Sudan and its security and humanitarian repercussions.
The Foreign Minister said: "We do not need further tension with Ethiopia," adding that his country calls on the Ethiopian side to "practice good neighborliness and think about peace."
