بينما كانت التجهيزات تُستكمل داخل إحدى قرى محافظة الدقهلية والطفلة ذات الـ 15 عاماً تستعد لإتمام زفافها، جاءت مكالمة سرية خاطفة لتنسف المخطط بالكامل، وتحول حفل الزفاف المفترض إلى مداهمة أمنية حاسمة في اللحظات الأخيرة.
الواقعة الصادمة بدأت عندما تلقت رئيسة المجلس القومي للطفولة والأمومة سحر السنباطي، استغاثة عاجلة عبر «خط نجدة الطفل» بالتزامن مع ساعات الزفاف الأولى، تفيد باستعداد أسرة لتزويج ابنتهم القاصر لشاب من القرية عبر «عقد عرفي» للالتفاف على السن القانونية. وفي سباق مع الزمن، اقتحمت لجنة من وحدة حماية الطفل برفقة قوات الأمن المصري موقع الحفل، لترصد التحضيرات في أوجها وتتدخل فوراً لتجميد المراسم وإنقاذ الطفلة.
ولم تتوقف الدراما عند إيقاف حفل الزفاف، إذ أصدرت النيابة العامة قراراً عاجلاً بـ«انتزاع الطفلة وإيداعها دار رعاية اجتماعية» لحمايتها وضمان عدم خضوعها لأي محاولات تزويج سرية جديدة، مع إجبار والدها على توقيع إقرار رسمي مشدد. وتأتي الواقعة وسط تحذيرات صريحة من خبراء القانون بأن مشاركة الأهالي في زواج القاصرات لا تقف عند عقوبة الحبس 6 أشهر فقط، بل تضعهم مباشرة تحت طائلة اتهامات ترتقي إلى «الاتجار بالأطفال».
يذكر أن زواج الصغار ظاهرة متكررة بشكل كبير في مصر، وترتبط في بعض الحالات بموروثات ثقافية واجتماعية، إلى جانب عوامل اقتصادية، في مقدمتها الفقر.

The shocking incident began when Sahar El-Sunbati, the head of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, received an urgent distress call via the "Child Helpline" coinciding with the early hours of the wedding, reporting that a family was preparing to marry off their underage daughter to a young man from the village through a "customary contract" to circumvent the legal age. In a race against time, a committee from the Child Protection Unit, accompanied by Egyptian security forces, stormed the wedding venue to observe the preparations at their peak and immediately intervened to halt the proceedings and save the girl.
The drama did not stop at the cancellation of the wedding; the Public Prosecution issued an urgent decision to "remove the girl and place her in a social care home" to protect her and ensure she would not be subjected to any new secret marriage attempts, while forcing her father to sign a strict official declaration. This incident comes amid explicit warnings from legal experts that parental involvement in child marriages does not only carry a six-month imprisonment penalty but also places them directly under accusations that amount to "child trafficking."
It is worth noting that child marriage is a recurring phenomenon in Egypt, often linked to cultural and social legacies, in addition to economic factors, primarily poverty.
