سجّل المعهد الجغرافي الوطني الإسباني 1279 هزة أرضية في منطقة غرناطة جنوب البلاد، منذ الزلزال الذي بلغت قوته 4.8 درجة في 15 أغسطس الجاري.
وأوضح المعهد أن معظم الهزات كانت ضعيفة، فيما تجاوزت قوة عشر منها 3 درجات، مشيرًا إلى تراجع النشاط الزلزالي خلال الأسبوع الحالي.
وتسبّبت السلسلة الزلزالية في أضرار مادية بعدد من المناطق، وقدرت الحكومة الإسبانية تكلفة الخسائر بنحو 100 مليون يورو، في انتظار استكمال تقييم الأضرار خلال ثلاثة أشهر.
The Spanish National Geographic Institute recorded 1,279 earthquakes in the Granada region in the south of the country since the earthquake that had a magnitude of 4.8 on August 15th.
The institute explained that most of the tremors were weak, while the strength of ten of them exceeded 3 degrees, noting a decrease in seismic activity during the current week.
The series of earthquakes caused material damage in several areas, and the Spanish government estimated the cost of the losses at around 100 million euros, pending the completion of damage assessment within three months.
