أكد سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في لبنان فهد بن عبدالرحمن الدوسري أن السعودية تقف إلى جانب الدولة اللبنانية في استعادة سيادتها على كامل أراضيها، مشدداً على استمرار دعمها للبنان واللبنانيين.
وقال الدوسري: «لنا ثقة بالدولة اللبنانية، ونحن نستكمل ما قمنا به في مطار بيروت، فلو لم تكن هناك ثقة لما كنا موجودين اليوم هنا والحكومة ورئيسي الجمهورية ومجلس الوزراء وجميع أعضاء الحكومة يبذلون جهوداً كبيرة وهذا أمر ملحوظ».
وجاء كلام السفير السعودي على هامش افتتاح المجلس الأعلى للجمارك العمل بالإجراءات الجديدة التي اتخذتها إدارة الجمارك بالتعاون مع وزارة الأشغال، والتي تشمل تركيب سكانر متطور (ماسحة ضوئية) للبضائع القادمة والمغادرة عند معبر المصنع الحدودي مع سورية. وتترافق الخطوة مع إقامة منشآت فنية وممرات حماية للجهاز، بما يضمن حمايته ويسهم في تسريع حركة المسح والكشف على جميع الشاحنات العابرة.
من جهته، أكد وزير الأشغال اللبناني فايز رسامني أن بدء تصدير المنتجات اللبنانية إلى السعودية «يمثل مرحلة مهمة»، موجهاً الشكر إلى القيادة السعودية «على قرار استئناف الصادرات اللبنانية».
وقال رسامني: «نعمل على ضبط المعابر وتطوير الصادرات اللبنانية، ونجتمع بشكل دوري مع السوريين لتطوير اقتصاداتنا، وسنفتتح معبر العبودية في خلال أسابيع، والذي سيخفف من الزحمة على معبر المصنع».
وأضاف: «المصنع الجديد سيكون أقرب إلى الحدود السورية، فالأمن العام يجب أن يكون أول بوابة تستقبل الزوار وآخر بوابة تخرج الزوار، ونحن نقلص المسافة بين لبنان وسوريا للتخفيف من التهريب على الحدود».
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, confirmed that Saudi Arabia stands by the Lebanese state in regaining its sovereignty over all its territories, emphasizing its continued support for Lebanon and the Lebanese people.
Al-Dosari said: “We have confidence in the Lebanese state, and we are continuing what we have done at Beirut Airport. If there were no confidence, we would not be here today, and the government, along with the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, as well as all members of the government, are making significant efforts, which is noticeable.”
The Saudi ambassador's remarks came on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Higher Customs Council's implementation of the new procedures taken by the Customs Administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works, which include the installation of an advanced scanner for incoming and outgoing goods at the Masnaa border crossing with Syria. This step is accompanied by the establishment of technical facilities and protective corridors for the device, ensuring its protection and contributing to speeding up the scanning and inspection process for all passing trucks.
For his part, Lebanese Minister of Public Works Fayyad Al-Rassamni confirmed that the start of exporting Lebanese products to Saudi Arabia "represents an important phase," thanking the Saudi leadership "for the decision to resume Lebanese exports."
Al-Rassamni said: “We are working on regulating the crossings and developing Lebanese exports, and we meet regularly with the Syrians to develop our economies. We will open the Al-Aboudiya crossing within weeks, which will ease congestion at the Masnaa crossing.”
He added: “The new crossing will be closer to the Syrian border, as the General Security should be the first gate to receive visitors and the last gate to let them out, and we are reducing the distance between Lebanon and Syria to mitigate smuggling at the border.”
