اتهمت السفارة الروسية في لندن، اليوم (الإثنين)، بريطانيا بالمراهنة على تصعيد الصراع في أوكرانيا عبر السماح لكييف باستخدام الطائرات المسيّرة البريطانية لشنّ غارات في عمق الأراضي الروسية.
ونقلت وكالة «تاس» الروسية عن السفارة ردها على تقارير إعلامية حول استخدام القوات الأوكرانية طائرات مسيّرة بريطانية في غارات داخل روسيا، قائلة: «التقارير التي تفيد باستخدام نظام كييف طائرات مسيّرة بريطانية لشنّ غارات في عمق الأراضي الروسية تؤكد أن لندن تراهن عمداً على تصعيد الأزمة الأوكرانية، بينما تتظاهر نفاقاً برغبتها في السلام».
وكانت صحيفة «ذا تايمز البريطانية» نقلت عن مصادر في القوات المسلحة الأوكرانية أن كييف استخدمت خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية طائرات مسيّرة بريطانية الصنع في هجمات بعيدة المدى استهدفت مواقع داخل الأراضي الروسية، في تطور يمثل أول استخدام معلن لهذه الأنظمة البريطانية في مثل هذه العمليات.
وشملت الأهداف مصافي نفط ومنشآت لوجستية في مناطق موسكو وياروسلافل وفولغوغراد، إضافة إلى هجمات استهدفت منطقة بيلغورود القريبة من الحدود الأوكرانية.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أن طائرات مسيّرة أنتجتها شركتان بريطانيتان شاركت في هذه العمليات، من بينها الطائرة النفاثة «نيان»، التي طورتها شركة «كالين-لينز» التابعة لشركة «بي إيه إي سيستمز»، التي صُممت لتنفيذ ضربات دقيقة في بيئات عملياتية معقدة، كما استُخدمت في هجمات داخل منطقة بيلغورود.
أما النظام البريطاني الثاني فلم يُكشف عن اسمه أو الشركة المصنعة له لأسباب أمنية، إلا أن المصادر الأوكرانية قالت إن مداه يتجاوز 960 كيلومتراً، وإنه يُطلق بواسطة نظام قاذف يتيح تنفيذ عمليات إطلاق متتابعة.
The Russian embassy in London accused Britain today (Monday) of betting on escalating the conflict in Ukraine by allowing Kyiv to use British-made drones to carry out strikes deep within Russian territory.
The Russian news agency "TASS" reported the embassy's response to media reports regarding the use of British drones by Ukrainian forces in strikes inside Russia, stating: "Reports that the Kyiv regime is using British drones to carry out strikes deep within Russian territory confirm that London is deliberately betting on escalating the Ukrainian crisis while hypocritically pretending to desire peace."
The British newspaper "The Times" reported that sources in the Ukrainian armed forces indicated that Kyiv has used British-made drones in long-range attacks targeting sites within Russian territory over the past six months, marking the first announced use of these British systems in such operations.
The targets included oil refineries and logistical facilities in the Moscow, Yaroslavl, and Volgograd regions, in addition to attacks targeting the Belgorod area near the Ukrainian border.
The newspaper clarified that the drones were produced by two British companies involved in these operations, including the jet drone "Nian," developed by the "Kalin-Lyns" company, a subsidiary of "BAE Systems," designed to carry out precise strikes in complex operational environments, and were also used in attacks within the Belgorod region.
The name of the second British system has not been disclosed for security reasons, but Ukrainian sources stated that its range exceeds 960 kilometers and that it is launched by a launcher system that allows for sequential launches.
