ضمن حملة مكافحة الفساد، أكدت مصادر عراقية، اليوم (الأحد)، استمرار التعاون بين القضاء والحكومة. وأشارت المصادر إلى استمرار عمليات الاعتقال ضدّ مطلوبين للقضاء بتهم فساد في محافظة صلاح الدين. وكشفت المصادر اعتقال رجل الأعمال محمد الهجف على خلفية ملفات فساد كبرى في محافظة صلاح الدين.
وكان مصدر عراقي، أعلن السبت، أن القوات الأمنية اعتقلت أحمد الجبوري (أبو مازن) رئيس حزب الجماهير الوطنية بتهم الفساد في بغداد. وقال مصدر رفيع المستوى إنه «تم إلقاء القبض على محافظ صلاح الدين السابق أحمد الجبوري بتهم فساد في بغداد، وفق ما نقلته وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع)».
يذكر أن أبو مازن، وهو من مواليد 1967 وسياسي سني بارز، شغل منصب وزير دولة لشؤون المحافظات بين عامي 2014-2015 وعضوية البرلمان العراقي 2015-2022 ومحافظ صلاح الدين 2013-2014.
وكان ائتلاف إدارة الدولة أكد، في وقت سابق، ضرورة استمرار حملة مكافحة الفساد ودعم جهود الحكومة ورئيس الحكومة العراقية علي فالح الزيدي في هذا المجال.
يذكر أن أوسع عملية ميدانية لمكافحة الفساد في العراق كانت انطلقت في أواخر يونيو 2026، وشملت الحملة توقيف عشرات المسؤولين، بينهم نواب حاليون وسابقون، وقيادات بدرجة مدير عام، ومستشارون.
وامتدت التفتيشات لتصل إلى ملفات قطاعية ضخمة مثل عقود التسليح بوزارة الدفاع، وقطاعات الكهرباء والمنافذ الحدودية في البصرة. وأصدرت السلطات القضائية أوامر بمنع سفر عشرات الشخصيات السياسية والتنفيذية التي وردت أسماؤها في التحقيقات الأولية لضمان عدم هروبها خارج البلاد.
واعتمدت هيئة النزاهة بالتعاون مع البنك المركزي العراقي إستراتيجية تتبع «مسارات الأموال» وتجفيف منافذ التهريب المالية، خصوصاً تلك المشتبه بمرورها عبر مصارف ومؤسسات مالية في بغداد. وأعلنت الهيئة والقضاء استعادة مبالغ نقدية ضخمة بمليارات الدنانير وملايين الدولارات، إلى جانب الحجز على عقارات وأصول وممتلكات للمتهمين داخل العراق وخارجه.
As part of the anti-corruption campaign, Iraqi sources confirmed today (Sunday) the continued cooperation between the judiciary and the government. The sources indicated that operations to arrest individuals wanted by the judiciary on corruption charges are ongoing in Salah al-Din Governorate. The sources revealed the arrest of businessman Mohammed Al-Hajaf in connection with major corruption files in Salah al-Din Governorate.
It was reported by an Iraqi source on Saturday that security forces arrested Ahmad Al-Jubouri (Abu Mazen), the head of the National Popular Party, on corruption charges in Baghdad. A senior source stated that "the former governor of Salah al-Din, Ahmad Al-Jubouri, was arrested on corruption charges in Baghdad, according to what was reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA)."
It is noteworthy that Abu Mazen, born in 1967 and a prominent Sunni politician, served as Minister of State for Provincial Affairs from 2014 to 2015, as a member of the Iraqi Parliament from 2015 to 2022, and as Governor of Salah al-Din from 2013 to 2014.
The State Administration Coalition had previously affirmed the necessity of continuing the anti-corruption campaign and supporting the efforts of the government and the Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that the largest field operation against corruption in Iraq began in late June 2026, and the campaign included the arrest of dozens of officials, including current and former MPs, general directors, and advisors.
The inspections extended to cover massive sectoral files such as arms contracts with the Ministry of Defense, and the electricity and border crossings sectors in Basra. Judicial authorities issued travel bans for dozens of political and executive figures whose names appeared in the preliminary investigations to ensure they do not flee the country.
The Integrity Commission, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq, adopted a strategy to track "money trails" and dry up financial smuggling channels, especially those suspected of passing through banks and financial institutions in Baghdad. The Commission and the judiciary announced the recovery of huge cash amounts in billions of dinars and millions of dollars, in addition to the seizure of properties, assets, and belongings of the accused both inside and outside Iraq.
