أكد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد العليمي أن الشراكة مع السعودية ليست علاقة ظرفية، بل خيار إستراتيجي يقوم على التاريخ والجغرافيا والمصير المشترك. جاء ذلك خلال أداء سفير اليمن لدى المملكة سالم صالح بن بريك اليمين الدستورية أمام العليمي.
وقال العليمي خلال اجتماع مع سفير بلاده في المملكة: «السعودية كانت ولا تزال الشريك الأكثر التزامًا بدعم الدولة اليمنية، سياسيًا، واقتصاديًا، وإنسانيًا، وتتحمل أعباءً جسيمة دفاعًا عن أمن المنطقة واستقرارها وممراتها المائية».

وأضاف: «آن الأوان لأن يغادر بلدنا دائرة الأزمات إلى الشراكة الفاعلة في منظومة الأمن والتنمية الخليجية، وبناء علاقة تقوم على التكامل، وحسن الجوار، والمصالح المشتركة»، موضحاً أن مستقبل اليمن الطبيعي هو أن يكون جزءاً من النهضة الاقتصادية التي تقودها المملكة ودول مجلس التعاون، بعد استعادة الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب.
وشدد العليمي في حديثه مع السفير اليمني على ضرورة الاضطلاع بمسؤوليته الكاملة كرئيس لإحدى أهم البعثات الدبلوماسية اليمنية في الخارج، التي يمثل أي نجاح لها إضافة مهمة للعلاقات الثنائية، والشراكة الإستراتيجية بين البلدين الشقيقين.
وحث رئيس مجلس القيادة السفير اليمني على بذل الجهود كافة لخدمة أبناء الجالية اليمنية في المملكة وتسهيل إجراءاتهم باعتبارهم أحد أهم روافد الاقتصاد الوطني، وأعظم جسور التواصل بين الشعبين، مضيفاً أن هؤلاء ليسوا مجرد مغتربين، بل سفراء لليمن في حياتهم اليومية، وصورة مشرفة لبلدهم أمام البلد المضيف.
The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Alimi, affirmed that the partnership with Saudi Arabia is not a temporary relationship, but a strategic choice based on history, geography, and a shared destiny. This came during the swearing-in of Yemen's ambassador to the Kingdom, Salem Saleh bin Breik, before Alimi.
Alimi said during a meeting with his country's ambassador in the Kingdom: "Saudi Arabia has been and remains the most committed partner in supporting the Yemeni state, politically, economically, and humanitarianly, and it bears significant burdens in defense of the region's security, stability, and waterways."

He added: "It is time for our country to move from the cycle of crises to active partnership in the Gulf security and development system, and to build a relationship based on integration, good neighborliness, and common interests," explaining that Yemen's natural future is to be part of the economic renaissance led by the Kingdom and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, after restoring the state and ending the coup.
Alimi emphasized in his conversation with the Yemeni ambassador the necessity of fully assuming his responsibilities as the head of one of the most important Yemeni diplomatic missions abroad, as any success for it is an important addition to the bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
The Chairman of the Leadership Council urged the Yemeni ambassador to make every effort to serve the Yemeni community in the Kingdom and facilitate their procedures, considering them one of the most important tributaries of the national economy and the greatest bridges of communication between the two peoples, adding that they are not just expatriates, but ambassadors for Yemen in their daily lives, and a dignified representation of their country before the host nation.
