لأول مرة منذ الانقلاب، كشفت وزارة الدفاع اليمنية اليوم (الأربعاء) عن امتلاكها سلاحاً جوياً جديداً ونوعياً في إطار الاستعدادات العسكرية لإنهاء الانقلاب.
وظهر وزير الدفاع اليمني الفريق الركن الدكتور طاهر العقيلي يستعرض الطيران المسيّر في إحدى القواعد في اليمن.
المسيرات عيبان
مسيّرتا «عيبان» و«نقم»
وقدم المسؤول عن القاعدة العسكرية عرضاً لوزير الدفاع يبين المهام التي تقوم بها كل طائرة، بينها طائرات استطلاع وطائرات قتالية. وقال وزير الدفاع اليمني: قواتنا الجوية في أتم الاستعداد، مضيفاً: نستطيع القول اليوم إننا نوثق بأقلامنا وسنعمدها بدمائنا هذه الإنجازات العظيمة.
مسيرات نقم
وأطلق العقيلي على إحدى الطائرتين المسيّرتين اسم «عيبان» والأخرى «نقم» قائلاً: نطلق اسمين تاريخيين على هذا السلاح النوعي وهما اسمان لجبلين شامخين في صنعاء «عيبان» و«نقم» ثم كتبهما بقلمه.
إعادة تأهيل المقاتلات الحربية
وكانت الحكومة اليمنية قد أكدت الأسبوع الماضي إعادة تأهيل مقاتلاتها العسكرية واستخدامها في الهجمات على مواقع المليشيا الحوثية الإرهابية بما فيها قصف مطار صنعاء أثناء محاولة طائرة إيرانية الهبوط فيه منتصف الشهر الجاري، بحسب ما أعلنه نائب قائد القوات الجوية اليمنية.

كما قصفت المقاتلات اليمنية مخازن المليشيا في محافظتي الجوف ومأرب وتمكنت من قتل عدد من عناصر وقيادات الحوثي الميدانية. وعملت الحكومة اليمنية على تطوير وتفعيل قدراتها الجوية عبر إضافة الطيران المسيّر بكفاءة عالية وتفعيل طائرات إف-5 وصواريخ أرض أرض متوسطة المدى بعد أن استنفدت كافة المساعي الرامية إلى التوصل إلى سلام مع مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية، بما في ذلك خارطة الطريق المدعومة من المجتمع الدولي، التي تنصلت منها المليشيا تحت مبررات مختلفة.
رعب الحوثي من الجيش اليمني
وشكلت إعادة تفعيل الحكومة اليمنية قواتها الجوية صفعة قوية للمليشيا الحوثية، التي ذكرت وسائل إعلام يمنية أنها عقدت اجتماعات عقب الضربات في الجوف ومأرب لتقييم الوضع العسكري، ودفعت ببعض القيادات إلى التحذير من التصعيد في ظل التطور الملحوظ في قدرات الجيش اليمني القتالية الجوية والبحرية والبرية، ولم تستطع المليشيا إحداث أي اختراقات رغم تسللاتها المستمرة.

الجاهزية القتالية اليمنية
وكان وزير الدفاع اليمني قد وجه الأسبوع الماضي برفع جاهزية الجيش اليمني لمواجهة الاعتداءات الحوثية المتكررة، وحماية الشعب ومقدراته واستعادة مؤسسات الدولة وتحرير البلاد من قبضة المليشيا التي حولت اليمن إلى ساحة صراع مفتوحة لخدمة أجندة إيران.
ويرى مراقبون يمنيون أن الحكومة اليمنية بجيشها الموحد وقدراتها العسكرية المتنامية أصبحت اليوم أكثر قدرة على ردع التصعيد الحوثي، وحماية المناطق المحررة، والدفاع عن سيادة اليمن وأمنه، والمضي نحو استعادة الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب، بما يضمن للشعب اليمني حقه في الأمن والاستقرار والعيش الكريم.
For the first time since the coup, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense revealed today (Wednesday) that it possesses a new and advanced air weapon as part of military preparations to end the coup.

The official in charge of the military base presented a briefing to the Minister of Defense outlining the missions performed by each aircraft, including reconnaissance and combat drones. The Yemeni Minister of Defense stated: Our air forces are fully prepared, adding: We can say today that we are documenting with our pens and will endorse these great achievements with our blood.

Al-Aqeeli named one of the two drones "Aiban" and the other "Naqm," saying: We are giving these historical names to this advanced weapon, which are names of two towering mountains in Sana'a, "Aiban" and "Naqm," and then he wrote them down with his pen.
Rehabilitation of Fighter Jets
Last week, the Yemeni government confirmed the rehabilitation of its military fighter jets and their use in attacks on Houthi militia positions, including the bombing of Sana'a Airport during an attempt by an Iranian plane to land there in mid this month, according to the Deputy Commander of the Yemeni Air Force.

The Yemeni fighter jets also bombed militia warehouses in Al-Jawf and Marib governorates, managing to kill several Houthi field leaders and members. The Yemeni government has been working on enhancing and activating its air capabilities by incorporating high-efficiency drones and activating F-5 aircraft and medium-range surface-to-surface missiles after exhausting all efforts aimed at reaching peace with the terrorist Houthi militia, including the internationally supported roadmap, which the militia has evaded under various pretexts.
The Houthi's Fear of the Yemeni Army
The reactivation of the Yemeni government's air forces dealt a strong blow to the Houthi militia, which Yemeni media reported held meetings following the strikes in Al-Jawf and Marib to assess the military situation, prompting some leaders to warn of escalation in light of the noticeable development in the combat capabilities of the Yemeni army—air, naval, and ground—and the militia has been unable to make any breakthroughs despite its ongoing infiltrations.

Yemeni Combat Readiness
Last week, the Yemeni Minister of Defense directed to raise the readiness of the Yemeni army to confront repeated Houthi attacks, protect the people and their resources, restore state institutions, and liberate the country from the grip of the militia that has turned Yemen into an open battlefield to serve Iran's agenda.
Yemeni observers believe that the Yemeni government, with its unified army and growing military capabilities, is now more capable of deterring Houthi escalation, protecting liberated areas, defending Yemen's sovereignty and security, and moving towards restoring the state and ending the coup, ensuring the Yemeni people their right to security, stability, and a decent life.
