استعادت الفنانة المصرية شهيرة جانباً من ذكرياتها مع الفنان المصري الراحل أحمد زكي، متحدثة عن محطات إنسانية وفنية جمعتهما على مدار سنوات طويلة، خلال مشاركتها في ندوة تكريمها بالمهرجان القومي للمسرح المصري.
حديث غير متوقع
كشفت شهيرة أنها بادرت أحمد زكي ذات يوم بسؤال يتعلق بما إذا كان يمتلك مقبرة، الأمر الذي أثار استغرابه في البداية، قبل أن توضح له أن حديثها نابع من قناعتها بأهمية الاستعداد لكل مراحل الحياة، مشيرة إلى أن الراحل أعرب لاحقاً عن رغبته في أن يكون مدفنه بجوار مقابر عائلتها، لتعمل بعد ذلك على توفير مقبرة له.
صداقة تجاوزت الفن
وأكدت الفنانة أن علاقتهما لم تكن مقتصرة على الوسط الفني بل اتسمت بالمودة والوفاء، لافتة إلى أنها رافقته في أداء مناسك الحج واعتبرت تلك الرحلة من أبرز المواقف التي تعكس قوة الصداقة التي استمرت بينهما لسنوات.
وأوضحت شهيرة أن معرفتها بأحمد زكي بدأت منذ الدراسة في المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية إذ كانا ضمن الدفعة نفسها، مؤكدة أنها ساندته في خطواته الأولى للالتحاق بالمعهد وظلت تتابع أخباره وتحرص على دعمه باستمرار.
تعاون لم يكتمل
وفي ما يتعلق بعدم ظهورهما معاً في السينما، أوضحت شهيرة أن مشروعين كانا مطروحين لجمعهما على الشاشة، إلا أن خلافات بين أحمد زكي والمخرج أشرف فهمي حالت دون تنفيذهما، لينتهي الأمر بعدم خروج أي من العملين إلى النور، رغم رغبة الطرفين في التعاون.

An Unexpected Conversation
Shahira revealed that she once asked Ahmed Zaki whether he owned a grave, which initially surprised him. She clarified that her inquiry stemmed from her belief in the importance of being prepared for all stages of life, noting that the late artist later expressed his desire to be buried next to her family's graves, leading her to work on providing a grave for him.
A Friendship Beyond Art
The artist confirmed that their relationship was not limited to the artistic community but was characterized by affection and loyalty, pointing out that she accompanied him during the pilgrimage and considered that journey one of the most significant moments reflecting the strength of their friendship that lasted for years.
Shahira explained that her acquaintance with Ahmed Zaki began during their studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, as they were in the same class, emphasizing that she supported him in his early steps to join the institute and continued to follow his news and ensure her constant support.
Unfinished Collaboration
Regarding their absence together in cinema, Shahira clarified that two projects were proposed to bring them together on screen, but disagreements between Ahmed Zaki and director Ashraf Fahmy prevented their execution, resulting in neither of the works being realized, despite both parties' desire to collaborate.
