استهدفت صواريخ روسية العاصمة الأوكرانية كييف والمنطقة المحيطة بها، اليوم (الأحد)، ما أسفر عن مقتل شخص واحد على الأقل وإصابة 13 آخرين واندلاع حرائق في أنحاء المدينة.
وأكد شهود عيان سماع سلسلة من الانفجارات القوية تهز العاصمة الأوكرانية، في وقت حذرت القوات الجوية الأوكرانية من تهديد بصواريخ باليستية.
وأعلن رئيس بلدية كييف فيتالي كليتشكو على تطبيق تليغرام أن حرائق اندلعت في سكن للطلاب ومبنى سكني وسوبر ماركت، وأضاف أن الهجوم استهدف مباني عدة غير سكنية ومستودعات، بينما اشتعلت النيران في سيارات متوقفة ومبانٍ إدارية في عددٍ من الأحياء.
وفي أحد المواقع، كان العمال يجرون عمليات بحث بين الأنقاض المتفحمة ويخمدون النيران في الشقق المدمرة، وأرسلت هيئة الطوارئ الحكومية فرق الإنقاذ إلى مواقع عدة في ثلاث مناطق بالمدينة.
وذكرت الإدارة العسكرية للمدينة أن شخصين أصيبا في منطقة كييف، فيما تعرّضت مستودعات هناك لأضرار.
وأشارت تقارير إلى أن الهجوم الصاروخي الروسي على كييف شمل إطلاق أكثر من 20 صاروخاً باليستياً.
وكثفت القوات الروسية ضرباتها بالصواريخ الباليستية على كييف ومدن أخرى في الأسابيع القليلة الماضية، وذلك وسط نقص حاد في مخزون أوكرانيا من أنظمة الدفاع الجوي الأمريكية الصنع والضرورية لإسقاط هذه الصواريخ.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام روسية بأن القوات الروسية تواصل تقدمها في مقاطعتي خاركيف ودونيتسك، مشيرة إلى أنها تمكنت من السيطرة على بلدة فولوكخوفسكوي، وبدأت معارك للسيطرة على بلدة زاخاروفكا المجاورة في مقاطعة خاركيف.
وقال الخبير العسكري أندريه ماروتشكو في تصريحات لوكالة «تاس»: «بعد أن قاموا عملياً بطرد القوات الأوكرانية من فولوكخوفسكوي، بدأ مقاتلونا معارك من أجل زاخاروفكا».
وأشار إلى أن القوات الروسية حققت خلال الأسبوع الماضي تقدماً ملموساً في اتجاه فولتشانسك، ووسعت منطقة سيطرتها بشكل كبير في ذلك القطاع.
فيما أعلن رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة للقوات المسلحة الروسية فاليري غيراسيموف أن مجموعة قوات «زاباد» (غربا) تتقدم على جبهة واسعة في نطاق مسؤوليتها بمنطقة العملية العسكرية الخاصة في أوكرانيا. وأكد أن بلدة ميرنوي أصبحت تحت السيطرة الروسية، وأن السيطرة على بلدات شيفتشينكو وكراسنويارسكوي وسفيتلي تقترب من الاكتمال.
وفي اتجاه سلافيانسك وكراماتورسك، سيطرت وحدات من الجيش الثالث على بيسكونوفكا، ووصلت إلى ضواحي نيكولايفكا، مع تمركز الوحدات المتقدمة على بعد أقل من 5 كيلومترات من الضواحي الشرقية لمدينة كراماتورسك.
وأشار غيراسيموف إلى أن قوات مجموعة «المركز» تواصل تقدمها شمال مدينة كراسنوأرميسك، وتخوض معارك في مدينتي دوبروبوليه وأنوفكا.
Russian missiles targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and the surrounding area today (Sunday), resulting in at least one death and 13 injuries, as well as fires breaking out across the city.
Eyewitnesses confirmed hearing a series of powerful explosions shaking the Ukrainian capital, while the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a threat from ballistic missiles.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced on the Telegram app that fires broke out in a student dormitory, a residential building, and a supermarket, adding that the attack targeted several non-residential buildings and warehouses, while parked cars and administrative buildings in several neighborhoods caught fire.
At one site, workers were conducting search operations among the charred debris and extinguishing fires in the destroyed apartments, and the State Emergency Service sent rescue teams to several locations in three areas of the city.
The military administration of the city reported that two people were injured in the Kyiv area, while warehouses there sustained damage.
Reports indicated that the Russian missile attack on Kyiv involved the launch of more than 20 ballistic missiles.
In recent weeks, Russian forces have intensified their ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities amid a severe shortage of American-made air defense systems in Ukraine, which are essential for intercepting these missiles.
Russian media reported that Russian forces continue to advance in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, noting that they have managed to take control of the town of Volokhivske, and battles have begun for control of the neighboring town of Zakharivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
Military expert Andrei Marochko stated in remarks to the TASS agency: “After they practically expelled Ukrainian forces from Volokhivske, our fighters began battles for Zakharivka.”
He noted that Russian forces made significant progress last week towards Vultchanisk and greatly expanded their area of control in that sector.
Meanwhile, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, announced that the “Zapad” group of forces (to the west) is advancing along a wide front in its area of responsibility within the special military operation in Ukraine. He confirmed that the town of Mirnoye is now under Russian control, and that control over the towns of Shevchenko, Krasnoyarskoye, and Svitly is nearing completion.
In the direction of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, units from the Third Army have taken control of Biskonovka and reached the outskirts of Nikolaivka, with advanced units positioned less than 5 kilometers from the eastern outskirts of the city of Kramatorsk.
Gerasimov noted that the “Center” group of forces continues its advance north of the city of Krasnoarmeysk and is engaged in battles in the cities of Dobropolie and Anovka.
