قتل 50 عسكرياً من الجيش المالي في هجوم شنّه انفصاليون من الطوارق ومتطرفون على قافلة عسكرية كانت تغادر مدينة أنيفيس الاستراتيجية في الشمال، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة فرانس برس عن مصادر عسكرية ومحلية اليوم (الأحد).
ويعد هذا الهجوم من بين أكثر الهجمات إيقاعاً للقتلى في صفوف الجيش المالي منذ اندلاع النزاع في البلد الواقع في الغرب الأفريقي، قبل 15 شهراً.
وأعلن مسؤول محلي في شمال البلاد، مقرّب من المجلس العسكري الحاكم، أن الحصيلة الأولية للهجوم فادحة جدّاً، أكثر من 50 عسكريا قُتلوا، وهناك 24 أسيراً على الأقل.
وتأتي هذه التطورات في ظل تصاعد نشاط الجماعات المسلحة واتساع المواجهات مع الجيش في مناطق عدة من مالي.
وعرقلت الجماعات المتطرفة في الآونة الأخيرة، إمدادات الوقود، الأمر الذي تسبّب في حرمان سكان العاصمة وشركاتها من الكهرباء والإمدادات الأساسية.
وفي سبتمبر 2024، شنّت جماعة تدعى «نصرة الإسلام والمسلمين» هجوماً على مدرسة لتدريب قوات الشرطة شبه العسكرية قرب مطار باماكو، ما أسفر عن مقتل نحو 70 شخصاً.
وشهد شمال ووسط مالي، أمس (السبت)، تصعيداً عسكرياً لافتاً، بعد سلسلة هجمات متزامنة استهدفت مواقع للجيش في مناطق متباعدة، تبنّت جماعة «نصرة الإسلام والمسلمين»، التابعة لتنظيم القاعدة الإرهابي في غرب أفريقيا، عدداً منها، قائلة إنها سيطرت على ثلاثة مواقع عسكرية على الأقل.
وشهدت مناطق أخرى مواجهات بين الجيش المالي وجبهة تحرير أزواد، التي أعلنت دخول مدينة أنيفيس، الواقعة على بعد نحو 100 كيلومتر جنوب كيدال، بعد هجوم بدأ منذ ساعات صباح السبت. وقالت الجبهة إنها سيطرت على عدد من المواقع العسكرية وأسرت جنوداً من الجيش المالي، وأكدت استمرار الاشتباكات داخل المدينة ومحيطها.
Fifty soldiers from the Malian army were killed in an attack launched by separatists from the Tuareg and extremists on a military convoy leaving the strategic city of Anéfis in the north, according to reports from military and local sources cited by Agence France-Presse today (Sunday).
This attack is among the deadliest for the Malian army since the outbreak of the conflict in the West African country 15 months ago.
A local official in the northern part of the country, close to the ruling military council, announced that the initial toll of the attack is very heavy, with more than 50 soldiers killed and at least 24 captured.
These developments come amid a rise in the activity of armed groups and an escalation of confrontations with the army in several areas of Mali.
Recently, extremist groups have disrupted fuel supplies, causing residents of the capital and its businesses to be deprived of electricity and essential supplies.
In September 2024, a group called "Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin" launched an attack on a training school for paramilitary police near Bamako Airport, resulting in the deaths of around 70 people.
Yesterday (Saturday), northern and central Mali witnessed a significant military escalation following a series of simultaneous attacks targeting army positions in various remote areas, some of which were claimed by the group "Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin," affiliated with the terrorist organization al-Qaeda in West Africa, stating that it had taken control of at least three military sites.
Other areas experienced clashes between the Malian army and the Azawad Liberation Front, which announced its entry into the city of Anéfis, located about 100 kilometers south of Kidal, after an attack that began early Saturday morning. The front claimed to have taken control of several military sites and captured soldiers from the Malian army, confirming that clashes continue within the city and its surroundings.
