أعلن الجيش الأمريكي، اليوم (الأحد)، أن مضيق هرمز مفتوح أمام جميع السفن التي تسعى لعبور الممر المائي الدولي بشكل قانوني، بعد تنفيذ جولة ثالثة من الضربات ضد إيران رداً على استهداف الحرس الثوري للسفن في المضيق.
وأفادت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (CENTCOM) بأن قواتها لا تزال في مواقعها ومستعدة لضمان استمرار حرية الملاحة، رغم الاعتداءات والمضايقات والتهديدات والإعلانات التعسفية غير المبررة من جانب إيران.
وأكّدت القيادة أن إيران لا تسيطر على مضيق هرمز، مضيفة أن حركة الملاحة مستمرة، وأشارت إلى أنها ساعدت أكثر من 140 سفينة على عبور المضيق خلال الأيام السبعة الماضية.
وأعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (الأحد) انتهاء جولة ثالثة من الضربات ضد إيران، التي قالت إنها تهدف إلى «محاسبة القوات الإيرانية على مهاجمتها سفينة تجارية أخرى في مضيق هرمز».
وأوضحت أن القوات الأمريكية استهدفت نحو 140 هدفاً عسكرياً إيرانياً باستخدام ذخائر دقيقة أُطلقت من طائرات مقاتلة وطائرات مسيرة وقطع بحرية.
وشملت الأهداف مواقع للصواريخ والطائرات المسيرة الإيرانية، وقدرات بحرية، ومستودعات ذخيرة، وشبكات اتصالات، ومواقع للمراقبة الساحلية.
واستهدفت القيادة المركزية خلال 3 ليال من الضربات هذا الأسبوع أكثر من 300 موقع عسكري «لتقويض قدرة إيران على مهاجمة البحارة المدنيين والسفن التجارية التي تعبر مضيق هرمز».
وصعّد الحرس الثوري الإيراني، فجر الأحد، بإغلاق مضيق هرمز أمام حركة الملاحة حتى إشعار آخر، بعدما قال إنه أوقف سفينة بإطلاق طلقات تحذيرية عليها إثر محاولتها العبور عبر «مسار غير مصرح به».
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» عن بحرية الحرس الثوري قولها إن عدة سفن حاولت العبور عبر مسار غير مصرح به ولم تستجب للتحذيرات والتعليمات التي طالبتها بتصحيح مسارها والالتزام بالمسار المحدد.
وأضافت أن إحدى السفن أوقفت أنظمتها، ما عرّض الأمن البحري للخطر، مشيرةً إلى أنها تعرضت لإطلاق نار تحذيري أدى إلى إصابتها وتوقفها.
The U.S. military announced today (Sunday) that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships seeking to cross the international waterway legally, following a third round of strikes against Iran in response to the Revolutionary Guard targeting vessels in the strait.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that its forces remain in position and are prepared to ensure the continued freedom of navigation, despite the assaults, harassment, threats, and arbitrary, unjustified announcements from Iran.
They confirmed that Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, adding that maritime traffic is ongoing, and noted that they have assisted over 140 ships in crossing the strait in the past seven days.
The U.S. Central Command announced on Sunday the conclusion of a third round of strikes against Iran, which it said aims to "hold Iranian forces accountable for attacking another commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz."
It clarified that U.S. forces targeted approximately 140 Iranian military sites using precision munitions launched from fighter jets, drones, and naval vessels.
The targets included sites for Iranian missiles and drones, naval capabilities, ammunition depots, communication networks, and coastal surveillance sites.
During three nights of strikes this week, CENTCOM targeted over 300 military sites "to undermine Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz."
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard escalated on Sunday morning by closing the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic until further notice, after claiming it had stopped a ship by firing warning shots at it for attempting to cross through an "unauthorized route."
The "Tasnim" news agency reported that the Revolutionary Guard's navy stated that several ships attempted to cross through an unauthorized route and did not respond to warnings and instructions that required them to correct their course and adhere to the designated path.
It added that one of the ships shut down its systems, which jeopardized maritime security, indicating that it was subjected to warning gunfire that led to its damage and stoppage.
