في تصعيد جديد تشهده الممرات المائية الأكثر أهمية في العالم، وضعت الولايات المتحدة حدّاً لمهلة الانضباط الأخيرة التي منحتها لطهران، لترد بقوة في قلب المشهد؛ فقد أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية عن بدء ضربات جوية جديدة استهدفت العمق الإيراني، وجاء هذا التحرك العسكري الحاسم مدفوعاً بتوجيهات مباشرة من الرئيس دونالد ترمب، رداً على هجوم نفذته قوات الحرس الثوري الإيراني ضد سفينة الحاويات "إم/في جي إف إس غالاكسي" التي ترفع علم قبرص أثناء عبورها مضيق هرمز.
