اتهم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (الأربعاء)، إيران بالسعي إلى قتله، مؤكداً أنهم لن يحصلوا على سلاح نووي أبداً.
وقال ترمب في مؤتمر صحفي على هامش قمة الناتو في العاصمة التركية أنقرة: «حياتي في خطر وأنا الهدف رقم واحد على قائمة الأهداف بالنسبة للإيرانيين وقد يسعون لقتلي»، موضحاً أن الإيرانيين كانوا يريدون صفقة ثم أطلقوا النار على السفن.
وأضاف: «إن الحرب على طهران كانت ناجحة عسكرياً، لقد نجحنا في إيران أكثر من فنزويلا»، لافتاً إلى أنه تبقى لإيران بعض الصواريخ والمنصات.
وأشار إلى أنه جرى تدمير قدرات إيران العسكرية، مبيناً أنه تم تدمير الجيش الإيراني وأغرق 59 سفينة.

وشدد بالقول: أريد أنهي الموضوع في إيران وليس اللعب مع القادة الحاليين، مضيفاً: «قادة الصف الأول والثاني في إيران رحلوا والآن هناك المستوى الثالث».
ولفت إلى أنه لن يقبل بوجود مجانين يحصلون على السلاح النووي، لكنه عاد ووصف القادة الإيرانيين حالياً بـ«الأكثر عقلانية».
واستبعد ترمب عودة الحرب في إيران، مؤكداً أن الإيرانيين قصفوا سفناً وتم الرد عليهم بضربات أقوى بعشرة أضعاف، ونرد على طهران باللغة التي تفهمها.
وبين ترمب أن هناك الكثير من النفط يمر عبر مضيق هرمز لكنهم لا يسعون إلى حرب طويلة.
وحول موقف بلاده من حلف شمال الأطلسي «الناتو» قال ترمب: «أمريكا المساهم الأكبر في الناتو وبفارق كبير عن الآخرين»، موضحاً أن حلفاء الناتو يقومون بعمل رائع في بلدانهم.
وقال ترمب إن أوروبا ستحصل على أفضل المعدات العسكرية، مضيفاً: الدول الأوروبية لم تساعدنا ولم نحتج لمساعدتها في الحرب على إيران.
وفيما يتعلق بصفقة المقاتلات مع تركيا قال ترمب: سنتخذ القرار اللازم بشأن منح تركيا مقاتلات إف 35، فهي ثاني أقوى بلد في الناتو.
وتحدث ترمب عن الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع قائلاً: إنه يقوم بعمل عظيم جداً في سورية.
في المقابل، أفاد التلفزيون الإيراني بمقتل ثمانية من أفراد الجيش في بندر عباس وبوشهر جراء قذائف معادية، عقب هجمات أمريكية استهدفت مواقع في إيران صباح اليوم.
U.S. President Donald Trump accused Iran today (Wednesday) of seeking to kill him, affirming that they will never obtain a nuclear weapon.
Trump said in a press conference on the sidelines of the NATO summit in the Turkish capital Ankara: "My life is in danger, and I am the number one target on the Iranian hit list, and they may seek to kill me," explaining that the Iranians wanted a deal and then fired on the ships.
He added: "The war on Tehran was militarily successful; we have succeeded in Iran more than in Venezuela," noting that Iran still has some missiles and platforms.
He pointed out that Iran's military capabilities have been destroyed, indicating that the Iranian army has been destroyed and 59 ships have been sunk.

He emphasized by saying: I want to end the issue in Iran and not play with the current leaders, adding: "The first and second-tier leaders in Iran are gone, and now there is the third level."
He noted that he would not accept the existence of madmen obtaining nuclear weapons, but he again described the current Iranian leaders as "the most rational."
Trump ruled out the return of war in Iran, confirming that the Iranians bombed ships and were responded to with strikes ten times stronger, and we respond to Tehran in the language it understands.
Trump indicated that a lot of oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz, but they are not seeking a long war.
Regarding his country's position on NATO, Trump said: "America is the largest contributor to NATO by a large margin compared to others," explaining that NATO allies are doing a great job in their countries.
Trump stated that Europe will receive the best military equipment, adding: European countries did not help us, and we did not need their assistance in the war against Iran.
Concerning the fighter jet deal with Turkey, Trump said: We will make the necessary decision regarding granting Turkey F-35 fighters, as it is the second strongest country in NATO.
Trump spoke about Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, saying: He is doing a very great job in Syria.
In contrast, Iranian television reported the death of eight army personnel in Bandar Abbas and Bushehr due to enemy shells, following American attacks targeting sites in Iran this morning.
