حذّرت رئيسة رابطة صناعة السيارات الألمانية، «هيلدجارد مولر»، من أن قطاع السيارات الأوروبي يواجه أزمة عميقة تستدعي إعادة هيكلة واسعة.
وأشارت إلى أن المزيد من خفض الوظائف وإغلاق المصانع أصبح أمراً لا مفر منه لاستعادة القدرة التنافسية.
وأوضحت «مولر» في مقابلة مع تلفزيون «بلومبرج» اليوم (الأربعاء) أن شركات كبرى تعاني منذ سنوات من ارتفاع تكاليف الطاقة والعمالة والبيروقراطية.
احتدام المنافسة
وأضافت أن هذه الضغوط تتزامن مع احتدام المنافسة من شركات السيارات الصينية، بينما لا تزال تكلفة إنتاج السيارات الكهربائية في أوروبا مرتفعة.
وأشارت إلى أن بعض المصانع لن تتمكن من الاستمرار في مثل هذه الظروف، داعيةً إلى تسريع الإصلاحات، كما اقترحت السماح للمنتجين الأجانب باستخدام مصانع أوروبية للمساهمة في الحفاظ على الوظائف وسلاسل الإمداد.
The President of the German Automotive Industry Association, "Hildegard Müller," warned that the European automotive sector is facing a deep crisis that requires extensive restructuring.
She pointed out that further job cuts and factory closures have become unavoidable to regain competitiveness.
Müller explained in an interview with Bloomberg Television today (Wednesday) that major companies have been suffering for years from rising energy, labor, and bureaucratic costs.
Intensifying Competition
She added that these pressures coincide with intensifying competition from Chinese car manufacturers, while the cost of producing electric vehicles in Europe remains high.
She noted that some factories will not be able to continue under such conditions, calling for the acceleration of reforms, and suggested allowing foreign producers to use European factories to help maintain jobs and supply chains.
