قتل 50 عنصراً من مليشيا الحوثي وأصيب العشرات، في معارك عنيفة مع القوات الحكومية اليمنية جنوب محافظة الحديدة.
وأعلن وزير الدولة اليمني وليد القديمي أن المعارك العنيفة التي شهدتها جبهة جبل دُباس الواقعة شمال مدينة حيس، بين قوات «ألوية الزرانيق التهامية» وجماعة الحوثي أسفرت عن مصرع أكثر من 50 حوثياً وإصابة العشرات.
وأشار في تدوينة على منصة «إكس» إلى أن 15 عنصراً من القوات الحكومية قتلوا في تلك المعارك.
وأكد القديمي أن جماعة الحوثي تواصل شن «هجمات انتحارية» على مواقع «ألوية الزرانيق التهامية» في محاولة لإحداث اختراق ميداني باتجاه المناطق المحررة في جنوب الحديدة.
في غضون ذلك، أجرى رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني رشاد العليمي، مساء أمس (الأحد)، اتصالاً هاتفياً بعضو المجلس طارق صالح، للاطلاع على الموقف العسكري في جبهة الساحل الغربي إثر إحباط هجوم وتسلل بري لجماعة الحوثي جنوب محافظة الحديدة.
واستمع العليمي إلى إحاطة ميدانية حول سير المواجهات الأخيرة التي خاضتها وحدات المقاومة الوطنية، وأسفرت عن إفشال محاولة التسلل الحوثية وإجبار عناصر الجماعة على التراجع بعد تكبدها خسائر بشرية، وفقاً لما أعلنه الإعلام الرسمي.
وشدد رئيس مجلس القيادة على أهمية الحفاظ على أعلى درجات الاستعداد العسكري، وتنسيق العمليات بين مختلف الوحدات والتشكيلات المسلحة للتصدي لأي تصعيد يقوض فرص الاستقرار في البلاد.
وكانت مصادر عسكرية تحدثت، السبت، عن اندلاع معارك عنيفة بين قوات «ألوية الزرانيق التهامية» المرابطة في المناطق المحررة جنوب الحديدة وجماعة الحوثي، مستمرة منذ مساء الجمعة.
وذكرت المصادر أن المعارك التي استخدمت فيها مختلف أنواع الأسلحة، اندلعت إثر هجوم شنته جماعة الحوثي بتغطية نارية ومدفعية عنيفة على مواقع «اللواء 14 مشاة» (الثاني زرانيق) في جبهة دباس شمال حيس. وتمكنت خلالها القوات الحكومية بعد إسنادها بتعزيزات إضافية من صد الهجوم الحوثي.
وتعد هذه أعنف مواجهات منذ بدء الهدنة العسكرية بين القوات الحكومية والحوثيين في أبريل 2022.
Fifty members of the Houthi militia were killed and dozens were injured in fierce battles with the Yemeni government forces south of Al Hudaydah governorate.
Yemeni Minister of State Walid Al-Qudaimi announced that the violent clashes witnessed on the Dabas Mountain front, north of the city of Hays, between the "Zaraniq Tihama Brigades" and the Houthi group resulted in the death of more than 50 Houthis and injuries to dozens.
He mentioned in a post on the "X" platform that 15 members of the government forces were killed in those battles.
Al-Qudaimi confirmed that the Houthi group continues to launch "suicidal attacks" on the positions of the "Zaraniq Tihama Brigades" in an attempt to achieve a field breakthrough towards the liberated areas in southern Al Hudaydah.
Meanwhile, the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, made a phone call yesterday evening (Sunday) to council member Tariq Saleh to get an update on the military situation on the western coast front following the thwarting of an attack and ground infiltration by the Houthi group south of Al Hudaydah governorate.
Al-Alimi listened to a field briefing about the recent confrontations that the National Resistance Units fought, which resulted in the failure of the Houthi infiltration attempt and forced the group's elements to retreat after suffering human losses, according to official media reports.
The President of the Leadership Council emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of military readiness and coordinating operations among various units and armed formations to counter any escalation that undermines stability in the country.
Military sources reported on Saturday that fierce battles had erupted between the "Zaraniq Tihama Brigades" stationed in the liberated areas south of Al Hudaydah and the Houthi group, continuing since Friday evening.
The sources indicated that the battles, which involved various types of weapons, erupted following an attack launched by the Houthi group with heavy fire and artillery coverage on the positions of the "14th Infantry Brigade" (Second Zaraniq) on the Dabas front north of Hays. During this, the government forces, after being reinforced with additional support, managed to repel the Houthi attack.
This is considered the fiercest confrontations since the start of the military truce between the government forces and the Houthis in April 2022.
