أعلنت الرئاسة المصرية أن الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي سيشارك في أعمال قمة مجموعة الدول السبع الصناعية الكبرى (G7)، المقرر عقدها في مدينة إيفيان الفرنسية خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 17 يونيو الجاري، تحت الرئاسة الفرنسية للمجموعة.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة الثانية لمصر في قمة G7، بعد مشاركتها الأولى في القمة التي عُقدت بمدينة بياريتز الفرنسية في أغسطس 2019، وذلك أثناء تولي مصر رئاسة الاتحاد الأفريقي.
ويشارك الرئيس السيسي بصفته دولة شريكة مدعوة إلى جانب رؤساء دول وحكومات الدول الأعضاء في المجموعة (كندا، فرنسا، ألمانيا، إيطاليا، اليابان، المملكة المتحدة، والولايات المتحدة)، إضافة إلى رئيس المجلس الأوروبي ورئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية، ورؤساء عدد من المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم رئاسة الجمهورية السفير محمد الشناوي أن أعمال القمة ستركز على عدد من الملفات الدولية المهمة، أبرزها: تعزيز النمو الاقتصادي العالمي، وتسوية الأزمات الجيوسياسية ومواجهة انعكاساتها على التجارة والطاقة وسلاسل الإمداد، وتسريع تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، والتعاون الدولي في مجالات الرقمنة والذكاء الاصطناعي.
وأكد المتحدث أن مشاركة مصر تأتي تأكيداً لدورها المحوري في دفع جهود التنمية والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، مشيراً إلى أن الرئيس السيسي سيعقد لقاءات ثنائية مهمة على هامش القمة مع عدد من قادة الدول المشاركة، وعلى رأسها لقاء ثنائي مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
وتُعد مجموعة السبع (G7) أحد أبرز المنتديات الدولية التي تجمع أكبر الاقتصادات الصناعية المتقدمة في العالم، وتهدف إلى تنسيق السياسات الاقتصادية والسياسية حول القضايا العالمية، وعلى الرغم من أن قراراتها غير ملزمة قانونياً، إلا أنها تؤثر بشكل كبير على التوجهات الدولية في مجالات الاقتصاد والأمن والمناخ.
وشاركت مصر لأول مرة في قمة بياريتز 2019 بدعوة من الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، حيث ركزت المشاركة المصرية حينها على تعزيز الشراكة بين مجموعة السبع والقارة الأفريقية.
The Egyptian presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will participate in the G7 summit, scheduled to be held in the French city of Évian from June 15 to 17, under the French presidency of the group.
This is Egypt's second participation in the G7 summit, following its first participation in the summit held in the French city of Biarritz in August 2019, during Egypt's presidency of the African Union.
President El-Sisi will participate as an invited partner country alongside the heads of state and government of the member countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States), in addition to the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, and the heads of several international and regional organizations.
The spokesperson for the presidency, Ambassador Mohamed Al-Shenawy, explained that the summit's work will focus on a number of important international issues, most notably: enhancing global economic growth, resolving geopolitical crises and addressing their impacts on trade, energy, and supply chains, accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals, and international cooperation in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
The spokesperson confirmed that Egypt's participation reaffirms its pivotal role in advancing development and stability efforts in the Middle East and Africa, noting that President El-Sisi will hold important bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit with several participating leaders, including a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The G7 is one of the most prominent international forums that brings together the largest advanced industrial economies in the world, aiming to coordinate economic and political policies on global issues. Although its decisions are not legally binding, they significantly influence international trends in the fields of economy, security, and climate.
Egypt participated for the first time in the Biarritz summit in 2019 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, where the Egyptian participation at that time focused on enhancing the partnership between the G7 and the African continent.
