نجحت السلطات السورية في تفكيك شبكة دولية منظمة لتهريب المخدرات، وألقت القبض على عدد من أفرادها.
وأعلنت وزارة الداخلية في بيان، اليوم الأحد، أن إدارة مكافحة المخدرات بالتنسيق مع المديرية العامة لشؤون المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية في العراق، نفذت سلسلة عمليات نوعية ومتزامنة شملت محافظتي حمص ودير الزور.
وأضافت الوزارة أن هذا الإجراء يأتي استمراراً لجهودها في مكافحة الجريمة المنظمة وعمليات التهريب العابرة للحدود، ولفتت إلى أن هذه العملية المحكمة أسفرت عن مصادرة 800 ألف حبة من مخدر الكبتاغون، و60 كيلوغراماً من مادة الحشيش المخدر، كانت معدة للتهريب والترويج.
وذكرت أن هذه العملية تعكس مستوى التنسيق العالي والتعاون الاستخباراتي المثمر بين الجهات المختصة في البلدين، لضرب خطوط إمداد شبكات التهريب الدولية وحماية المجتمع من مخاطر هذه الآفة.
وأتلفت السلطات السورية خلال الأشهر الماضية كميات كبيرة من المخدرات التي عمل النظام السابق على إنتاجها وتصنيعها وترويجها داخل المجتمع السوري، إضافة إلى تهريبها إلى دول الجوار، وفق ما أفادت وكالة سانا.
يذكر أن تجارة وصناعة الكبتاغون توسعت خلال سنوات الحرب في سورية، مع اتخراط جهات أمنية رفيعة في التغطية على نشاط المهربين والتجار.
وشكّل الكبتاغون أكبر صادرات سورية إبان الحرب التي اندلعت عام 2011، وكان بيع هذه المادة المنشطة وغير القانونية يعد مصدراً أساساً لتمويل نظام الرئيس السابق بشار الأسد.
The Syrian authorities have succeeded in dismantling an organized international drug trafficking network and have arrested several of its members.
The Ministry of Interior announced in a statement today, Sunday, that the Anti-Drug Administration, in coordination with the General Directorate for Drug and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Iraq, carried out a series of qualitative and simultaneous operations that included the provinces of Homs and Deir ez-Zor.
The ministry added that this action comes as a continuation of its efforts to combat organized crime and cross-border smuggling operations, noting that this meticulous operation resulted in the seizure of 800,000 Captagon pills and 60 kilograms of hashish, which were prepared for smuggling and promotion.
It mentioned that this operation reflects the high level of coordination and fruitful intelligence cooperation between the relevant authorities in both countries, aimed at disrupting the supply lines of international smuggling networks and protecting society from the dangers of this scourge.
During the past months, the Syrian authorities have destroyed large quantities of drugs that the previous regime produced, manufactured, and promoted within Syrian society, in addition to smuggling them to neighboring countries, according to the SANA news agency.
It is worth noting that the trade and production of Captagon expanded during the years of war in Syria, with high-ranking security entities involved in covering up the activities of traffickers and dealers.
Captagon became Syria's largest export during the war that erupted in 2011, and the sale of this illegal stimulant was considered a primary source of funding for the regime of former President Bashar al-Assad.
