لوّح الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بالعودة إلى «ساحة المعركة» إذا فشلت المفاوضات مع إيران، مؤكداً في الوقت ذاته أن المحادثات الجارية مع طهران «تسير بشكل جيد»، وأن الاتفاق المرتقب يجب أن يكون «صفقة عظيمة للجميع أو لا صفقة على الإطلاق».
وقال ترمب، في بيان مطوّل نشره عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال»، إن البديل عن الاتفاق سيكون «العودة إلى إطلاق النار، ولكن بصورة أكبر وأقوى من أي وقت مضى»، مضيفاً: «لا أحد يريد ذلك».
ترمب: الشرق الأوسط أمام تحالف غير مسبوق
وكشف ترمب أنه ناقش خلال اتصالات ومباحثات أجراها السبت مع عدد من قادة المنطقة والعالم، ضرورة انضمام دول الشرق الأوسط إلى «اتفاقات أبراهام» بالتزامن مع أي تسوية محتملة مع إيران.
وشملت المشاورات ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ورئيس دولة الإمارات الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، وأمير قطر الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، ورئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن آل ثاني، إضافة إلى الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، والرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي، والعاهل الأردني عبدالله الثاني، والعاهل البحريني حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة، وقائد الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير.
وأكد ترمب أن الولايات المتحدة بذلت «جهداً هائلاً» لتجميع «هذا اللغز المُعقّد».
وفي أكثر تصريحاته إثارة، قال ترمب إن عدداً من القادة الذين تحدث معهم أبدوا ترحيبهم بانضمام إيران نفسها إلى «اتفاقات أبراهام» فور توقيع الاتفاق مع واشنطن، مضيفاً: «ذلك سيكون شيئاً استثنائياً».
ووصف الاتفاق المحتمل بأنه «الأهم في تاريخ الشرق الأوسط»، مؤكداً أن «لا شيء في الماضي أو المستقبل سيتفوق عليه».
«قوة وسلام» بعد 5,000 عام
ورأى ترمب أن الشرق الأوسط سيكون «موحداً وقويّاً واقتصاديّاً بصورة غير مسبوقة» إذا انضمت إيران والدول الأخرى إلى هذا التحالف، مضيفاً أن الاتفاق سيجلب «السلام الحقيقي والقوة للمنطقة لأول مرة منذ 5,000 عام».
وختم ترمب بيانه بتأكيد أنه وجّه ممثليه لبدء واستكمال إجراءات ضم الدول المعنية إلى «اتفاقات أبراهام»، واصفاً الاتفاق المرتقب بأنه «وثيقة ستنال احتراماً غير مسبوق في العالم».
U.S. President Donald Trump hinted at a return to the "battlefield" if negotiations with Iran fail, while affirming that the ongoing talks with Tehran "are going well," and that the anticipated agreement must be "a great deal for everyone or no deal at all."
Trump stated in a lengthy statement published on his platform "Truth Social" that the alternative to the agreement would be "returning to shooting, but in a bigger and stronger way than ever before," adding, "No one wants that."
Trump: The Middle East is Facing an Unprecedented Alliance
Trump revealed that during calls and discussions he held on Saturday with several regional and world leaders, he emphasized the necessity for Middle Eastern countries to join the "Abraham Accords" in conjunction with any potential settlement with Iran.
The consultations included Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir.
Trump confirmed that the United States has made a "tremendous effort" to piece together "this complex puzzle."
In one of his most striking statements, Trump said that several leaders he spoke with expressed their welcome for Iran itself to join the "Abraham Accords" immediately after signing the agreement with Washington, adding, "That would be something exceptional."
He described the potential agreement as "the most important in the history of the Middle East," asserting that "nothing in the past or future will surpass it."
"Power and Peace" After 5,000 Years
Trump viewed that the Middle East would be "united, strong, and economically unprecedented" if Iran and other countries joined this alliance, adding that the agreement would bring "real peace and strength to the region for the first time in 5,000 years."
Trump concluded his statement by confirming that he directed his representatives to begin and complete the procedures for including the concerned countries in the "Abraham Accords," describing the anticipated agreement as "a document that will earn unprecedented respect in the world."
