The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, praised the historic agreement reached today for the release of 1,750 detainees, affirming that this step represents the largest exchange operation within the state's full commitments to close this painful humanitarian file that has affected the lives of thousands of Yemeni families.

The Yemeni leadership council president described this step in a post on the platform "X" as a "moment of joy and hope," and a good omen preceding the arrival of Eid al-Adha, emphasizing that it represents a renewed opportunity to prioritize humanitarian and religious values, reunite grieving families, and end the prolonged suffering.

President Al-Alimi, on behalf of himself and the council members and the government, expressed his sincere thanks and high appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving this accomplishment, affirming that Saudi Arabia's efforts were the cornerstone and the greatest driving force behind this significant humanitarian and diplomatic achievement.

The President of the Yemeni Leadership Council commended the tireless efforts made by the office of the UN envoy, and the supportive role of the brothers in Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman, while also praising the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the government negotiating team, and all parties that contributed to the success of this historic humanitarian agreement.
