كشف مدير عام مستشفى الأمير محمد بن سلمان بالعاصمة اليمنية المؤقتة عدن، الدكتور مروان منصور، عن قفزات نوعية في أداء المستشفى الذي بات يمثل شريان الحياة للقطاع الصحي في اليمن.
وأكد في حوار خاص لـ«عكاظ» أن المستشفى، بدعم وإشراف البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، نجح في تقديم منظومة علاجية متكاملة ومجانية بالكامل، ساهمت بفعالية في توطين الجراحات المعقدة وتقليل فاتورة السفر للعلاج بالخارج، مستقبلاً المرضى من كافة المحافظات اليمنية دون استثناء.
تجهيزات تضاهي المراكز العالمية
وأوضح الدكتور منصور أن المستشفى يتكون من صرحين رئيسيين؛ المستشفى العام ومركز قلب متطور، ويضم المستشفى العام 14 عيادة تخصصية تغطي كافة الاحتياجات الطبية، مدعومة بـ 6 غرف عمليات كبرى، وأقسام ترقيد وعناية مركزة بسعة 10 أسرة، إضافة إلى قسم طوارئ يعمل على مدار الساعة بسعة 10 أسرة.
وأشار إلى أن المستشفى يمتلك أحدث التجهيزات التقنية عالمياً، بما في ذلك أجهزة الرنين المغناطيسي والموجات الصوتية، وجهاز الأشعة المقطعية للقلب الذي يعد الوحيد من نوعه في اليمن قاطبة.
لغة الأرقام.. عطاء بلا حدود
وفي جردة حساب للأرقام المحققة منذ تدشين العمل في 30 يناير 2023 وحتى 5 أبريل 2026، استعرض مدير المستشفى الدكتور مروان منصور عن إحصائيات ضخمة تعكس حجم الجهد المبذول؛ حيث تجاوز إجمالي الخدمات الطبية المقدمة حاجز الـ 4,091,143 خدمة مجانية، بدعم سعودي سخي.
وكشف منصور عن نجاح الكوادر الطبية في إجراء 26,002 عملية جراحية نوعية بمعدل يومي يتجاوز 45 عملية، مشيراً إلى أن العيادات التخصصية استقبلت 1,526,653 معاينة طبية، بمتوسط تدفق بشري يتراوح بين 3000 إلى 3500 مريض يومياً.
وأوضح أن منظومة الدعم السعودي شملت كافة الأقسام المساندة، حيث أنجزت المختبرات 1,895,457 فحصاً، وقدمت أقسام الأشعة 261,766 إجراءً تشخيصياً، فيما بلغت الوصفات الدوائية المصروفة بالمجان 918,445 وصفة، مؤكداً أن هذه الإحصائيات تبرهن على الدور المحوري للصرح السعودي كشريان حياة يغطي احتياجات المرضى من كافة المحافظات اليمنية.
تنوع جراحي وتخصصات دقيقة
وحول تفاصيل العمليات الجراحية، بيّن منصور أن الجراحات توزعت لتشمل كافة التخصصات؛ حيث تم إجراء 6051 عملية جراحة عامة، و5188 جراحة نساء وولادة، و4336 جراحة عيون، و3438 جراحة عظام، إضافة إلى 2563 جراحة مسالك بولية، و2355 جراحة أنف وأذن وحنجرة، و212 عملية مخ وأعصاب، و1859 عملية مناظير للجهاز الهضمي، مؤكداً أن المريض يحصل على (العلاج، الترقيد، والتغذية) له ولمرافقه مجاناً وبأعلى المعايير.
منارة تدريبية واستدامة
واختتم الدكتور مروان منصور حديثه بالتأكيد على الدور الأكاديمي للمستشفى، مشيراً إلى وجود مجلس أكاديمي للتدريب والتعليم، حيث يتم استقبال ودفعات من أطباء جامعة عدن كل 6 أشهر للتدريب المكثف.
كما لفت إلى اعتماد دبلومات تخصصية في (العناية المركزة والعناية التنفسية) مصرحة من وزارة الصحة، لرفد السوق الطبي اليمني بكوادر مؤهلة تأهيلاً عالياً، تحت إشراف استشاريين من الداخل والخارج، بما يضمن استدامة الأثر الصحي لهذا المشروع السعودي الرائد.
The Director General of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden, Dr. Marwan Mansour, revealed significant leaps in the hospital's performance, which has become a lifeline for the healthcare sector in Yemen.
In a special interview with "Okaz," he confirmed that the hospital, with the support and supervision of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, has succeeded in providing a comprehensive and entirely free healthcare system, effectively contributing to localizing complex surgeries and reducing the cost of traveling abroad for treatment, welcoming patients from all Yemeni governorates without exception.
Facilities Comparable to Global Centers
Dr. Mansour explained that the hospital consists of two main structures: the general hospital and an advanced heart center. The general hospital includes 14 specialized clinics covering all medical needs, supported by 6 major operating rooms, and inpatient and intensive care departments with a capacity of 10 beds, in addition to an emergency department that operates around the clock with a capacity of 10 beds.
He pointed out that the hospital possesses the latest technological equipment globally, including MRI machines, ultrasound devices, and a cardiac CT scanner, which is the only one of its kind in all of Yemen.

In a summary of the achievements since the commencement of operations on January 30, 2023, until April 5, 2026, the hospital director, Dr. Marwan Mansour, presented massive statistics that reflect the extent of the efforts made; the total medical services provided exceeded 4,091,143 free services, supported by generous Saudi funding.
He revealed that the medical staff successfully performed 26,002 quality surgical operations, with a daily average exceeding 45 operations, noting that the specialized clinics received 1,526,653 medical consultations, with a daily patient flow averaging between 3,000 to 3,500 patients.
He explained that the Saudi support system encompassed all supporting departments, with laboratories completing 1,895,457 tests, and radiology departments providing 261,766 diagnostic procedures, while the number of free prescriptions issued reached 918,445, emphasizing that these statistics demonstrate the pivotal role of the Saudi facility as a lifeline covering the needs of patients from all Yemeni governorates.
Surgical Diversity and Specialized Disciplines
Regarding the details of the surgical operations, Mansour indicated that the surgeries were distributed across all specialties; 6,051 general surgeries were performed, along with 5,188 gynecological and obstetric surgeries, 4,336 eye surgeries, 3,438 orthopedic surgeries, in addition to 2,563 urological surgeries, 2,355 ENT surgeries, 212 neurosurgeries, and 1,859 gastrointestinal endoscopies, confirming that the patient receives (treatment, hospitalization, and nutrition) for themselves and their companion for free and at the highest standards.
A Beacon of Training and Sustainability
Dr. Marwan Mansour concluded his remarks by emphasizing the academic role of the hospital, noting the existence of an academic council for training and education, where batches of doctors from Aden University are received every six months for intensive training.
He also pointed out the establishment of specialized diplomas in (intensive care and respiratory care) accredited by the Ministry of Health, to supply the Yemeni medical market with highly qualified personnel, under the supervision of consultants from both inside and outside the country, ensuring the sustainability of the health impact of this pioneering Saudi project.
