أقرت حركة حماس اليوم (الخميس) بمقتل نجل رئيس المكتب السياسي للحركة في غارة إسرائيلية، مؤكدة على لسان القيادي باسم نعيم أن عزام الحية توفي متأثراً بإصابات تعرض لها في هجوم إسرائيلي، ليلة أمس.
ويعد عزام هو الابن الرابع للحية الذي يلقى حتفه في هجمات إسرائيلية من أبناء الحية الذي يعيش خارج القطاع.
ولدى الحية سبعة أبناء ونجا من محاولة اغتيال إسرائيلية متعددة آخرها في أكتوبر العام الماضي، واستهدفت العاصمة القطرية الدوحة، وأدت لمصرع ابنه، فيما لقي ابنان آخران حتفهما في محاولات إسرائيلية سابقة لاغتياله، في غارات على غزة عامي 2008 و2014.
يأتي الاغتيال في الوقت الذي قال مسؤولون إن قادة «حماس» وفصائل فلسطينية أخرى عقدوا محادثات مع الوسطاء الإقليميين والمبعوث الرئيسي لـ«مجلس السلام»، نيكولاي ملادينوف، لدفع خطة ترمب لوقف إطلاق النار في غزة إلى مرحلتها الثانية.
وقال قيادي في «حماس» إن الحركة أبلغت ملادينوف أنها لن تدخل في محادثات جادة حول تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية قبل أن تفي إسرائيل بالتزاماتها المتعلقة بالمرحلة الأولى، بما في ذلك الوقف الكامل للهجمات.
ومن المتوقع أن يعقد الوسطاء المصريون والقطريون والتركيون وحماس وممثلون عن حركة حماس في أنقرة اجتماعاً خلال الأيام القادمة لتقديم مقترحات جديدة لتنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة بين الحركة وإسرائيل.
وأفادت مصادر، أن الاجتماع هدفه تقريب وجهات النظر بشأن الخلافات التي تعيق التوصل إلى توافق حول كيفية الانتقال إلى المرحلة الثانية من اتفاق وقف النار، مبينة أن المفاوضات تمر بمرحلة شديدة الصعوبة.
Hamas movement acknowledged today (Thursday) the death of the son of the movement's political bureau chief in an Israeli airstrike, confirming through leader Bassem Naeem that Azam al-Hayya died from injuries sustained in an Israeli attack last night.
Azam is the fourth son of al-Hayya to be killed in Israeli attacks, among the al-Hayya family members who live outside the Gaza Strip.
Al-Hayya has seven children and survived multiple Israeli assassination attempts, the latest of which was in October last year, targeting the Qatari capital, Doha, and resulted in the death of his son, while two other sons were killed in previous Israeli attempts to assassinate him during airstrikes on Gaza in 2008 and 2014.
The assassination comes at a time when officials said that leaders of "Hamas" and other Palestinian factions held talks with regional mediators and the main envoy of the "Peace Council," Nikolai Mladenov, to advance Trump's ceasefire plan in Gaza to its second phase.
A Hamas leader stated that the movement informed Mladenov that it would not engage in serious talks about implementing the second phase until Israel fulfills its commitments related to the first phase, including a complete cessation of attacks.
It is expected that Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish mediators, along with Hamas and representatives of the movement in Ankara, will hold a meeting in the coming days to present new proposals for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip between the movement and Israel.
Sources reported that the meeting aims to bridge the gaps regarding the disagreements that hinder reaching a consensus on how to transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, indicating that the negotiations are going through a very difficult phase.
