أدان رئيس البرلمان العربي محمد بن أحمد اليماحي بأشد العبارات إقرار كنيست كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي قانون إعدام الأسرى الفلسطينيين، مؤكداً أن هذا التشريع العنصري يمثل جريمة جسيمة وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقوانين والمواثيق الدولية كافة، وفي مقدمتها اتفاقيات جنيف التي تحظر المساس بحياة الأسرى وتكفل لهم الحماية الكاملة.
وشدد رئيس البرلمان العربي في بيان رسمي على أن هذا القانون يُعد تصعيداً خطيراً في سياسة القتل الممنهج التي تنتهجها سلطات كيان الاحتلال بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، ويمثل جريمة حرب مكتملة الأركان، وجريمة ضد الإنسانية.
وأكد اليماحي، أن إقرار مثل هذا القانون يكشف بوضوح الطبيعة الحقيقية لسياسات كيان الاحتلال القائمة على الانتقام والتصفية الجسدية، ويعكس استخفافاً صارخاً بكافة الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى تحقيق العدالة والسلام في المنطقة.
وطالب رئيس البرلمان العربي المجتمع الدولي ومجلس الأمن ومجلس حقوق الإنسان والمنظمات والمؤسسات الحقوقية والصليب الأحمر، بتحمل مسؤولياتهم القانونية والأخلاقية والتحرك الفوري لوقف هذا الانتهاك الخطير، واتخاذ إجراءات رادعة لمحاسبة قادة كيان الاحتلال على جرائمهم، والعمل على توفير الحماية الدولية العاجلة للأسرى الفلسطينيين.
وجدد رئيس لبرلمان العربي العربي الدعوة إلى البرلمانات الإقليمية والدولية لتحرك دولي عاجل لتجميد عضوية كنيست كيان الاحتلال في المحافل البرلمانية الدولية، وعلى رأسها الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، باعتبار أن هذا التشريع يمثل خرقاً فاضحاً للقيم البرلمانية والإنسانية كافة.
وأكد اليماحي أن قضية الأسرى ستظل في صدارة أولويات البرلمان العربي، وأن محاولات كيان الاحتلال تصفية هذه القضية لن تنجح في كسر إرادة الشعب الفلسطيني أو طمس حقوقه المشروعة، وفي مقدمتها حقه في الحرية وتقرير المصير وإقامة دولته المستقلة وعاصمتها مدينة القدس.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, strongly condemned the Israeli occupation entity's Knesset for passing the law to execute Palestinian prisoners, affirming that this racist legislation represents a grave crime and a blatant violation of all international laws and treaties, foremost among them the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit harming the lives of prisoners and guarantee them full protection.
The President of the Arab Parliament emphasized in an official statement that this law constitutes a dangerous escalation in the systematic killing policy pursued by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, and represents a complete war crime and a crime against humanity.
Al-Yamahi confirmed that the approval of such a law clearly reveals the true nature of the occupation entity's policies based on revenge and physical liquidation, and reflects a blatant disregard for all international efforts aimed at achieving justice and peace in the region.
The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community, the Security Council, the Human Rights Council, and human rights organizations and institutions, as well as the Red Cross, to bear their legal and moral responsibilities and to take immediate action to stop this serious violation, to take deterrent measures to hold the leaders of the occupation entity accountable for their crimes, and to work on providing urgent international protection for Palestinian prisoners.
He renewed the Arab Parliament's call to regional and international parliaments for urgent international action to suspend the membership of the occupation entity's Knesset in international parliamentary forums, foremost among them the Inter-Parliamentary Union, considering that this legislation represents a blatant violation of all parliamentary and humanitarian values.
Al-Yamahi affirmed that the issue of prisoners will remain a top priority for the Arab Parliament, and that the occupation entity's attempts to liquidate this issue will not succeed in breaking the will of the Palestinian people or obliterating their legitimate rights, foremost among them their right to freedom, self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
