وصفت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض كارولين ليفيت الوضع حول المفاوضات مع إيران بأنه «غير مستقر».
وقالت في تصريح لقناة «أيه بي سي»، اليوم الثلاثاء: إن هذه مباحثات دبلوماسية حساسة، ولن تقدم الولايات المتحدة أية بيانات عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وهذا وضع غير مستقر، ولا يمكن اعتبار الافتراضات بشأن المفاوضات نهائية حتى يعلن عنها البيت الأبيض رسمياً.
من جانبه، أفاد مسؤول باكستاني للقناة بأن هناك مقترحات عدة حول مفاوضات محتملة، بما في ذلك اجتماع مباشر في إسلام أباد، لافتاً إلى أن الاتصالات الأمريكية الإيرانية على الأرجح ستُعقد في غضون 5 أيام بموجب منشور الرئيس دونالد ترمب على منصة «تروث سوشيال»، لكن المسؤول أكد أنه لم يتم اتخاذ أي قرار نهائي بشأن هذه المسألة.
وكتب ترمب عبر منصة «تروث سوشيال» في 23 مارس أن واشنطن وطهران أجرتا مفاوضات جيدة ومثمرة جداً خلال اليومين الماضيين بشأن وقف للأعمال القتالية. ووفقاً له، تستمر المشاورات طوال الأسبوع.
وأصدر ترمب تعليمات لوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية «البنتاغون» بتأجيل الضربات على البنية التحتية للطاقة الإيرانية لمدة 5 أيام.
وأبلغ الصحفيين بأن كلاً من الولايات المتحدة وإيران تُبديان رغبة في التوصل إلى اتفاق، وأن الجانبين لديهما «نقاط اتفاق رئيسية».
من جانبه، أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، لوكالة أنباء «إرنا»،أن طهران لم تُجرِ أية مفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة، لكنها أوضحت موقفها للوسطاء.
ونفى رئيس مجلس الشورى الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف إجراء أية مفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة، وأعلنت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية أنّها تلقت «رسائل من دول صديقة» بشأن طلب أمريكي لإجراء محادثات.
The White House spokesperson, Caroline Levitt, described the situation regarding negotiations with Iran as "unstable."
In a statement to ABC News today, Tuesday, she said that these are sensitive diplomatic discussions, and the United States will not provide any information via social media. This is an unstable situation, and assumptions about the negotiations cannot be considered final until officially announced by the White House.
For his part, a Pakistani official told the channel that there are several proposals regarding potential negotiations, including a direct meeting in Islamabad, noting that American-Iranian communications are likely to take place within 5 days following President Donald Trump's post on the Truth Social platform. However, the official confirmed that no final decision has been made on this matter.
Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform on March 23 that Washington and Tehran had good and very productive negotiations over the past two days regarding a ceasefire. According to him, consultations will continue throughout the week.
Trump instructed the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, to postpone strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure for 5 days.
He informed reporters that both the United States and Iran express a desire to reach an agreement, and that both sides have "key points of agreement."
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei told the IRNA news agency that Tehran has not conducted any negotiations with the United States, but it has clarified its position to the mediators.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf denied that any negotiations have taken place with the United States, and the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that it has received "messages from friendly countries" regarding a U.S. request for talks.
