تحطمت طائرة عسكرية كولومبية وعلى متنها 80 شخصاً على الأقل اليوم (الإثنين) على الحدود مع الإكوادور.
وأكد مسؤولون كولومبيون أن طائرة النقل العسكرية تحطمت أثناء إقلاعها اليوم وكان على متنها 80 شخصاً على الأقل، موضحين أن نحو 50 شخصاً ربما نجوا من تحطم الطائرة التي هي من طراز هيركوليز بعد وقت قصير من إقلاعها في بويرتو ليغويزامو بالقرب من الحدود الجنوبية مع الإكوادور.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام غربية عن مصدر عسكري قوله: "إن أفراد كتيبتين (80 جندياً) يُعتقد أنهم كانوا في طائرة هيركوليز التي تحطمت أثناء إقلاعها من بويرتو ليغويزامو، قرب الحدود الجنوبية مع الإكوادور، ولم يُعرف على الفور سبب التحطم.
وعرضت هيئة الإذاعة والبث الرسمية صوراً لهيكل طائرة متضررة بشدة ومشتعل، فيما أعرب وزير الدفاع الكولومبي بيدرو سانشيز عن حزنه العميق إثر الحادثة.
وكتب سانشيز على حسابه في منصات التواصل الاجتماعي: «وحدات عسكرية موجودة في مكان الحادثة، ولم يتم تأكيد عدد الضحايا وأسباب التحطم بعد»، مضيفاً: «إنّها حادثة مؤلمة للغاية بالنسبة إلى البلاد».
يذكر أن هذه الحادثة هي الثانية التي تتعرض لها طائرة من طراز «سي-130 هيركوليز» في أمريكا الجنوبية في أقل من شهر للتحطم، وذلك بعد أن تحطمت طائرة شحن عسكرية بوليفية تحمل أوراقاً نقدية أثناء هبوطها بالقرب من لاباز في 27 فبراير الماضي، ما أسفر عن مقتل 24 شخصاً على الأقل.

Colombian officials confirmed that the military transport plane crashed during takeoff today, stating that at least 80 people were on board, and that around 50 people may have survived the crash of the Hercules aircraft shortly after taking off from Puerto Leguizamo near the southern border with Ecuador.
Western media reported a military source saying: "Members of two battalions (80 soldiers) are believed to have been on the Hercules plane that crashed during takeoff from Puerto Leguizamo, near the southern border with Ecuador, and the cause of the crash is not immediately known.
The official broadcasting agency displayed images of a severely damaged and burning aircraft, while Colombian Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed his deep sorrow over the incident.
Sanchez wrote on his social media account: "Military units are present at the crash site, and the number of victims and the causes of the crash have not yet been confirmed," adding: "It is a very painful incident for the country."
It is worth noting that this incident is the second involving a C-130 Hercules aircraft in South America in less than a month, following the crash of a Bolivian military cargo plane carrying cash during its landing near La Paz on February 27, which resulted in the deaths of at least 24 people.
