عبر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ثقته بأن الشعب الإيراني سيتحرك لإسقاط النظام الحالي، إلا أنه قال إن هذا الأمر قد لا يحصل في شكل فوري.
وأضاف ترمب لإذاعة «فوكس نيوز» «أعتقد فعلاً أنها عقبة كبيرة يصعب تجاوزها بالنسبة إلى من لا يملكون أسلحة. أعتقد أنها عقبة كبيرة جداً، سيحصل ذلك، لكن ليس فوراً».
وتوعّد ترمب، اليوم الجمعة بـ«تدمير كامل» لنظام الحكم في إيران، بينما نزل عدد من المسؤولين الكبار إلى شوارع طهران للمشاركة في مسيرة «يوم القدس»، في ظهور علني نادر مع مرور أسبوعين على بدء الهجوم الأمريكي-الإسرائيلي. ولوح ترمب بمزيد من الضربات العنيفة. وقال «سنضربهم بقوة شديدة خلال الأسبوع القادم».
يذكر أن المرشد الإيراني الجديد مجتبى خامنئي، توعد أمس (الخميس)، في أول رسالة له بمواصلة الحرب «والانتقام والثأر» للقتلى في البلاد، وتدفيع «العدو الثمن». وأوعز باستمرار إغلاق مضيق هرمز الحيوي.
في حين أعلنت البحرية الإيرانية أنها ستنفذ «أوامر المرشد»، وتواصل إغلاق المضيق.
من جانبها، أكدت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية أن النظام الإيراني يمثل منذ سنوات «التهديد الأول للسلام والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط»، ولفتت إلى أن القوات الأمريكية تواصل اتخاذ خطوات حاسمة للحد من قدرات طهران العسكرية في المنطقة.
وقالت في منشور عبر منصة «إكس» مرفق بمقطع فيديو: إن القوات الأمريكية تواصل العمل على «تحييد قدرات إيران على إسقاط القوة خارج حدودها»، في إشارة إلى العمليات العسكرية التي تستهدف قدرات طهران العسكرية ونفوذها الإقليمي.
وأضافت أن القوات الأمريكية تواصل تنفيذ إجراءات حاسمة لمواجهة التهديدات المرتبطة بإيران، في إطار العمليات العسكرية الجارية في المنطقة.
فيما أعلن الحرس الثوري الإيراني أنه ينفذ ما وصفه بـ«الهجوم الأكثر قوة» على إسرائيل منذ بدء الحرب، بالتزامن مع إطلاق صواريخ باتجاه الأراضي الإسرائيلية. وأفاد الجيش الإسرائيلي برصد هجوم صاروخي جديد من إيران، لافتاً إلى أن أنظمة الدفاع الجوي تعمل على اعتراض الصواريخ.
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his confidence that the Iranian people will move to overthrow the current regime, but he said this may not happen immediately.
Trump added in an interview with Fox News, "I really believe it is a huge obstacle for those who do not have weapons. I think it is a very big obstacle; it will happen, but not right away."
Trump vowed today, Friday, to a "complete destruction" of the Iranian regime, while several senior officials took to the streets of Tehran to participate in the "Quds Day" march, in a rare public appearance two weeks after the start of the U.S.-Israeli attack. Trump hinted at more violent strikes, saying, "We will hit them very hard in the coming week."
It is noteworthy that the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, vowed yesterday (Thursday), in his first message, to continue the war "and seek revenge for the dead in the country, and make the 'enemy' pay the price." He ordered the continued closure of the vital Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, the Iranian navy announced that it would carry out the "Leader's orders" and continue to close the strait.
For its part, the U.S. Central Command confirmed that the Iranian regime has represented for years "the primary threat to peace and stability in the Middle East," noting that U.S. forces continue to take decisive steps to limit Tehran's military capabilities in the region.
In a post on the "X" platform accompanied by a video clip, it stated that U.S. forces continue to work on "neutralizing Iran's capabilities to project power beyond its borders," referring to military operations targeting Tehran's military capabilities and its regional influence.
It added that U.S. forces continue to implement decisive measures to counter threats related to Iran, as part of ongoing military operations in the region.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it is carrying out what it described as the "most powerful attack" on Israel since the start of the war, coinciding with the launch of missiles towards Israeli territory. The Israeli army reported detecting a new missile attack from Iran, noting that air defense systems are working to intercept the missiles.
