كشفت شبكة «سي بي إس» أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أخبر رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، أنه يدعم الضربات الإسرائيلية ضد برنامج الصواريخ الباليستي الإيراني، في حال فشلت المفاوضات الأمريكية - الإيرانية.
جولة جديدة من الضربات
وأفادت الشبكة الأمريكية بأنه جرت مناقشة هذا الخيار خلال الاجتماع الذي جرى في منتجع مارالاغو بولاية فلوريدا في ديسمبر الماضي.
وذكرت أن مناقشات داخلية بدأت بين كبار المسؤولين في الجيش الأمريكي وأجهزة الاستخبارات لبحث احتمال دعم جولة جديدة من الضربات الإسرائيلية على إيران. وقال مسؤولان أمريكيان مطلعان على المحادثات بين واشنطن وتل أبيب، إن المناقشات الأمريكية انصبت على كيفية تقديم الولايات المتحدة الدعم أكثر من تركيزها على قدرة إسرائيل على التحرك، بما في ذلك تزويد الطائرات الإسرائيلية بالوقود جواً، بالإضافة إلى تسهيلات لوجيستية.
مطالب إسرائيل من الاتفاق
من جهته، قال رئيس وزراء الاحتلال بنيامين نتنياهو، خلال كلمة له، إنه أبلغ الرئيس الأمريكي الأسبوع الماضي، بضرورة أن يتضمن أي اتفاق مع إيران تفكيك بنيتها التحتية النووية وليس مجرد وقف عملية التخصيب.
وأضاف أن الهدف نقل كل معدات التخصيب خارج إيران، وحصر مدى الصواريخ الباليستية لـ300 كيلومتر فقط.
وشكك نتنياهو في نوايا إيران قائلاً إن أي اتفاق يجب أن يضم عدة عناصر أساسية ضرورية، وهي تفكيك البنية التحتية النووية لإيران وليس فقط وقف التخصيب. واعتبر أن الصفقة المثالية مع إيران تكون عبر تفكيك برنامجها النووي وإحباط برنامجها الصاروخي.
التركيز على الموضوع النووي
وحسب التلفزيون الإيراني، فإن محادثات جنيف بين إيران وأمريكا ستركز على الموضوع النووي ورفع العقوبات فقط، مضيفاً أن طهران أبلغت واشنطن رفضها أي حديث عن وقف تخصيب اليورانيوم تماماً.
وعلى الرغم من الحراك الدبلوماسي فإن لغة العسكرة لاتزال حاضرة بنبرة عالية، إذ نشر الجيش الأمريكي صوراً لمجموعة حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية «أبراهام لينكولن» أثناء إبحارها قرب إيران.
ونقلت «رويترز» عن مسؤولين أمريكيين قولهما إن صور حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية تأتي في إطار الاستعدادات لاحتمال شن عمليات عسكرية متواصلة لأسابيع ضد إيران، في حال أصدر الرئيس ترمب قراراً ببدء الهجوم.
ويأتي نشر صور حاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن» في وقت أعلنت فيه واشنطن سابقاً عن نشر حاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس جيرالد آر فورد» في الشرق الأوسط، وتعتبر حاملة الطائرات هذه أكبر سفينة حربية في العالم.

Two U.S. officials familiar with the talks between Washington and Tel Aviv stated that the discussions focused on how the United States could provide support rather than on Israel's ability to act, including refueling Israeli aircraft in the air, along with logistical support.
Israel's Demands from the Agreement
For his part, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a speech that he informed the U.S. president last week that any agreement with Iran must include dismantling its nuclear infrastructure and not just halting the enrichment process.
He added that the goal is to transfer all enrichment equipment out of Iran and to limit the range of ballistic missiles to only 300 kilometers.

Reuters reported that U.S. officials stated that the images of the American aircraft carrier come as part of preparations for the possibility of launching continuous military operations for weeks against Iran if President Trump decides to initiate an attack.
The release of images of the "USS Abraham Lincoln" comes at a time when Washington previously announced the deployment of the aircraft carrier "USS Gerald R. Ford" in the Middle East, which is considered the largest warship in the world.
