كشفت وثائق حديثة ضمن ملفات التحقيق في قضية المليونير الأمريكي الراحل جيفري إبستين وجود شراكة تجارية سابقة جمعت وزير التجارة الأمريكي الحالي هوارد لوتنيك بإبستين، حتى 2014 على الأقل، بحسب ما أوردته شبكة CBS News، في تطور يثير جدلاً داخل إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب.
عقود شراكة قديمة
وأظهرت الوثائق، التي أُفرج عنها ضمن دفعات كبيرة من قبل وزارة العدل الأمريكية، توقيع لوتنيك وإبستين في 28 ديسمبر 2012 عقداً استثمارياً نيابة عن شركات ذات مسؤولية محدودة للاستثمار في شركة تكنولوجيا إعلانية تُدعى Adfin.
وتكشف الصفحات المنشورة توقيع إبستين ممثلاً لشركته Southern Trust Company Inc، مقابل توقيع لوتنيك ممثلاً لشركة CVAFH I، إلى جانب تسعة مساهمين آخرين في الصفقة.
تناقض التصريحات
ويأتي الكشف الجديد في تناقض مع تصريحات سابقة للوتنيك، أكد فيها خلال مقابلة صحفية في أكتوبر 2025 أنه قطع علاقته تماماً بإبستين عام 2005، عقب زيارة لمنزله في نيويورك، واصفاً إياه حينها بـ«الشخص المقرف»، ومؤكداً أنه لن يجتمع به مجدداً.
رد وزارة التجارة
وقال متحدث باسم وزارة التجارة الأمريكية، رداً على استفسارات إعلامية، إن لوتنيك كانت له «تفاعلات محدودة» مع إبستين بحضور زوجته، مشدداً على أنه لم يُتهم مطلقاً بأي مخالفة، كما لا تشير الوثائق المفرج عنها إلى تورطه في الجرائم الجنسية المنسوبة لإبستين.
ملايين الصفحات
وتأتي هذه المعلومات ضمن دفعة ضخمة من الوثائق، تتجاوز ثلاثة ملايين صفحة، كشفت عنها وزارة العدل أخيراً، وتضمنت أيضاً أسماء شخصيات اقتصادية وسياسية بارزة، من بينهم إيلون ماسك وبيل غيتس، في وقت يتواصل الجدل داخل الولايات المتحدة بشأن مدى شفافية الكشف الكامل عن شبكة علاقات إبستين.
Recent documents released as part of the investigation into the late American millionaire Jeffrey Epstein reveal a previous business partnership between current U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Epstein, at least until 2014, according to CBS News, in a development that raises controversy within President Donald Trump's administration.
Old Partnership Contracts
The documents, which were released in large batches by the U.S. Department of Justice, show that Lutnick and Epstein signed an investment contract on December 28, 2012, on behalf of limited liability companies to invest in an advertising technology company called Adfin.
The published pages reveal Epstein's signature representing his company Southern Trust Company Inc., alongside Lutnick's signature representing CVAFH I, as well as nine other shareholders in the deal.
Contradictory Statements
This new revelation contradicts previous statements made by Lutnick, who confirmed during a press interview in October 2025 that he completely severed ties with Epstein in 2005, following a visit to his home in New York, describing him at the time as a "disgusting person," and asserting that he would never meet with him again.
Response from the Department of Commerce
A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Commerce, in response to media inquiries, stated that Lutnick had "limited interactions" with Epstein in the presence of his wife, emphasizing that he has never been accused of any wrongdoing, and that the released documents do not indicate his involvement in the sexual crimes attributed to Epstein.
Millions of Pages
This information comes as part of a massive release of documents, exceeding three million pages, recently disclosed by the Department of Justice, which also included the names of prominent economic and political figures, including Elon Musk and Bill Gates, at a time when the debate continues in the United States regarding the transparency of the full disclosure of Epstein's network of relationships.
