«الرئاسي اليمني» يعين الصبيحي والخنبشي عضوين في مجلس القيادة

The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, issued today (Thursday) a decision to appoint Lieutenant General Mahmoud Ahmed Salem Al-Sobaihi and Dr. Salem Ahmed Said Al-Khanbashi as members of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The text of the decision states that, after reviewing the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the decision to announce the transfer of power issued by the decision and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, the law regulating the work of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Consultation and Reconciliation Authority, and the legal and economic teams, and the minutes of the Presidential Leadership Council confirming the vacancy of the seat of Aidarus Al-Zubaidi, referred to the Attorney General on charges of high treason under Council Decision No. (1) of 2026, and the vacancy of the seat of Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahssani due to his permanent health incapacity and failure to fulfill constitutional duties, which resulted in the loss of his membership under Council Decision No. (3) of 2026, and the minutes of the Presidential Leadership Council selecting candidates for the vacant seats in the council, we decided to appoint Lieutenant General Mahmoud Ahmed Salem Al-Sobaihi as a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, and to appoint Dr. Salem Ahmed Said Al-Khanbashi as a member of the Presidential Leadership Council while retaining his position as Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate.
