في ثاني عملية من نوعها خلال هذا الأسبوع، كشف مسؤولان أمريكيان اليوم (الأحد) اعتراض الولايات المتحدة سفينة أخرى قبالة ساحل فنزويلا في المياه الدولية.
وقال أحد المسؤولين الأمريكيين إن الناقلة خاضعة للعقوبات، ولم يحدد المسؤولان مكان حدوث الواقعة بالتحديد.
الاستيلاء على ناقلتي نفط
وكان المستشار الاقتصادي بالبيت الأبيض كيفن هاسيت قد أشار إلى أن ناقلتي النفط اللتين جرى الاستيلاء عليهما في بداية الحملة كانتا تعملان في السوق السوداء، وتقدمان النفط لدول خاضعة للعقوبات.
وقال هاسيت: «لذا لا أعتقد أن هناك ما يدعو للقلق هنا في الولايات المتحدة بشأن ارتفاع الأسعار، بسبب مصادرة هاتين السفينتين، فهما سفينتان فقط، وكانتا تعملان في السوق السوداء».
بدورها، ذكرت وكالة «بلومبيرغ» أن هناك أنباء عن قيام البحرية الأمريكية بالاستيلاء على ناقلة نفط فنزويلية ثالثة قبالة سواحل فنزويلا مع تصاعد التوتر مع كراكاس.
وأعلنت الولايات المتحدة أنها احتجزت ناقلة نفط ثانية قبالة سواحل فنزويلا، في سياق ما تعتبره واشنطن حملة لمكافحة تهريب المخدرات، في حين نددت كراكاس بما سمته بـ«السرقة والخطف».
وذكر موقع «تانكر تراكرز» أن السفينة ترفع علم بنما، وحُملت بـ1.8 مليون برميل من النفط الخام في ميناء فنزويلي لحساب شركة صينية، لكن السفينة غير مدرجة على قائمة الأشخاص المعنويين أو الماديين الخاضعين لعقوبات وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية.
اتهامات متبادلة بين واشنطن وكراكاس
ولفتت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض آنا كيلي في منشور على منصة (X) إلى أن «الناقلة تحوي نفطاً عائداً إلى شركة النفط العامة الفنزويلية»، موضحة أن السفينة أثناء ما كانت تبحر رافعة علماً مزوراً وتشكل جزءاً من الأسطول الشبح الفنزويلي لتهريب النفط المسروق وتمويل نظام مادورو.
وترى كراكاس أن إدارة ترمب تلجأ إلى اتهامات «كاذبة» بتهريب المخدرات سعياً إلى إسقاط مادورو والسيطرة على الموارد النفطية الكبيرة للبلاد.
In the second operation of its kind this week, two American officials revealed today (Sunday) that the United States intercepted another ship off the coast of Venezuela in international waters.
One of the American officials stated that the tanker is subject to sanctions, but the officials did not specify the exact location of the incident.
Seizure of Two Oil Tankers
White House economic advisor Kevin Hassett indicated that the two oil tankers seized at the beginning of the campaign were operating in the black market, supplying oil to sanctioned countries.
Hassett said, "So I don't think there is cause for concern here in the United States about rising prices due to the seizure of these two ships; they are just two ships, and they were operating in the black market."
For its part, Bloomberg reported that there are news of the U.S. Navy seizing a third Venezuelan oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela as tensions with Caracas escalate.
The United States announced that it had detained a second oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, in what Washington considers a campaign against drug trafficking, while Caracas condemned what it called "theft and kidnapping."
The website Tanker Trackers mentioned that the ship flies the Panamanian flag and was loaded with 1.8 million barrels of crude oil at a Venezuelan port for a Chinese company, but the ship is not listed on the list of individuals or entities subject to U.S. Treasury sanctions.
Mutual Accusations Between Washington and Caracas
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly noted in a post on the platform (X) that "the tanker contains oil belonging to the Venezuelan state oil company," explaining that the ship was sailing under a false flag and is part of Venezuela's ghost fleet for smuggling stolen oil and financing the Maduro regime.
Caracas believes that the Trump administration resorts to "false" accusations of drug trafficking in an effort to overthrow Maduro and take control of the country's vast oil resources.
