في حصيلة أممية جديدة لضحايا العنف في السودان، كشف رئيس منظمة الصحة العالمية، تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عن مقتل أكثر من 1600 شخص في هجمات استهدفت المرافق الطبية ومراكز الرعاية الصحية في السودان منذ بداية العام.
وأوضح رئيس المنظمة أن فريقه وثق 65 هجوماً على المرافق الصحية منذ يناير الماضي، مما أسفر أيضاً عن إصابة 276 شخصاً.
وفي ما يتعلق بهجوم الأحد الماضي الذي استهدف مستشفى عسكرياً بمدينة الدلنج، عاصمة ولاية جنوب كردفان أوضح غيبريسوس أنه أسفر عن مقتل تسعة أشخاص وإصابة 17 آخرين.
وأشار إلى أن كل هجوم يحرم المزيد من الناس من الخدمات الصحية والأدوية، وهي احتياجات ضرورية بينما يُعاد بناء المرافق وتُستأنف الخدمات.
وكانت شبكة أطباء السودان قد حمّلت قوات الدعم السريع المسؤولية عن الهجوم الذي استهدف المستشفى العسكري بالدلنج، ليرتفع ضحايا الجرائم التي نفذتها قوات الدعم السريع منذ 4 ديسمبر إلى ما لا يقل عن 104 قتلى وفقاً لمفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان فولكر تورك.
In a new UN report on the victims of violence in Sudan, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, revealed today (Wednesday) that more than 1,600 people have been killed in attacks targeting medical facilities and healthcare centers in Sudan since the beginning of the year.
He explained that his team has documented 65 attacks on health facilities since January, which also resulted in the injury of 276 people.
Regarding the attack last Sunday that targeted a military hospital in the city of Dalang, the capital of South Kordofan, Ghebreyesus stated that it resulted in the death of nine people and the injury of 17 others.
He pointed out that each attack deprives more people of health services and medicines, which are essential needs while facilities are being rebuilt and services resumed.
The Sudanese Doctors Network has held the Rapid Support Forces responsible for the attack on the military hospital in Dalang, raising the death toll from crimes committed by the Rapid Support Forces since December 4 to at least 104 fatalities, according to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk.
